you've taken over my brain

I cough, painfully.

There's no one in here.

great

I blink my eyes once more, adjusting to the light.

A few minutes go by, and I'm just chilling here.

Maybe I'll take this silent time to sleep.

I know I was just 'asleep' but I'm actually EXHAUSTED.

I close my eyes, drifting into my brain.

The door opens, my eyelids are too heavy to open.

"Hey Abel" a voice says, Jax's voice, "Hopefully you wake up soon."

His voice drops an octave, "they said a week at most, it's been a week and a half."

His voice wavers, "I was thinking that when you wake up, I'd ask you out on a date. Maybe not a date date. But maybe to get lunch in the cafeteria at some point."

He stops talking, but he breathes heavily.

I can feel his breath on my face and he kisses my cheek.

My eyes shoot open, his eyes are closed.

I turn my head, connecting our mouths.

I kiss him, and he kisses back.

Sparks are flying, my brain is spinning and fuzzy. His lips are soft, like feathers and he's a really good kisser.

After what feels like forever he pulls away.

A wave of shock, nervousness and panic cross over his face all at the same time.

"I-I..uhm..you're awake!" he finally says

"I l-literally just w-woke up 20 minutes a-ago" I stutter, my voice box doesn't want to work.

"oh. so you..you heard all that?" he asks, his face turning bright red

I nod, my neck stiff, "y-yeah. I co-could hear you and every-everyone else the entire t-time" I say, my own face turning pink

"the whole time?" he asks

"The who-whole time. I think you're pre-pretty cute t-too" I say, recalling what he said last time.

"I'm uh..I'm gonna go get a uhm doctor" he says, nodding and rushing out the door.

"wa-wait!" I call, "come h-here" he turns and walks over.

I push myself up with my elbows and kiss him quickly.

"okay, you ca-can go get th-that doctor n-now" I say, smiling

He nods, rushing out the door.

I just did that....wow.
