Girl's POV
I closed my eyes after chewing a couple of melatonin gummies to help me sleep. It takes some time but I eventually let myself be consumed by sleep. What feels like moments later my eyes shoot open. My leg itches. I go to scratch it but my arm doesn't move. Nothing moves. I can only breathe and look around the room.
"Don't you worry, we'll keep you company." A voice from across my room whispered. I wanted to scream but I couldn't.
"Oh yes we will." Another voice said. My lamp flipped on and I glanced to see who the intruders were. They were none other than Danny Devito and Steve Buscemi!
"Now you may be thinking, what the hell are these two creepy, 60 year old men doing in my room? We," I watch as Mr. Devito's hand entwines with Steve's. "We're your sleep paralysis demons." He explains. They both have ear to ear grins spread across their face. Steve opens a drawer from my desk and pulls out a bottle of champagne and two glasses. He fills the glasses and hands one to Danny.
"It's just a bottle of Capri Sun, sleep paralysis demons can't drink on the job." Danny assures me with a wink.
"To us my dear." Steve extends his glass to Danny's. Steve frowns sadly as Danny collapses into a nearby rocking chair. He begins to cry.
"Steve, you know we can't be together. Why do we even try? Our love is forever forbidden and you know that."
"Danny, I don't care what anyone says. I love you. I love you so much." Steve says as he gently embraces Danny into a soft hug. Steve grabs him by the hands and giggles.
"What are you doing?" Danny asks curiously. Steve turns on the radio which is playing, 'Total Eclipse of the Heart'.
"Dance with me Danny. Dance with me." Steve slides his hands around Danny's waist. I watch as they gently sway to the music. Danny wasn't a good dancer. Not even a bit. He kept stepping on Steve's feet.
"I love you Steve."
"I love you too."
