The party soon began and it seemed as though everyone was going to arrive. Malik was in the front getting Mai's present ready. Blessing was socializing and Mai was in the backyard jumping in the jumpy house. It was as if today would have been a very good day, especially for Maiari.

Everyone had made it, including Kennedy. Music was being played everyone was socializing and having a great time. "You enjoying yourself mamas?" I had asked Mai. "Yup" she replied while eating a cupcake. "That's wonderful" I said while wiping her chin. Malik soon approached us with his hands behind his back. "What are you up to ?" I asked curiously. He was acting very sketchy. "Nothing B" he said with a smirk on his face.
He pulled a mic from behind his back. "I need everybody to snap a picture and post it on Instagram #happybirthdaymaiari @maiari"

I scrolled through my Instagram looking at all of those who posted with Maiari's hashtag. It meant a lot that Kennedy actually showed up so I decided to go over and have a conversation with her.
"Hey Ken" I said taking a seat beside her. "Whatsup" she said sitting up and putting her drink down. "Just coming over to talk" I replied clutching my phone. She was dark under the eyes and seemed drunk. "What do we need to talk about? Kil killed my man!" She said on the verge of crying. "Calm down Ken, if there's so much animosity why did you even come?" "To support Maiari, because she damn sure needs it" she replied getting up and leaving.
The fuck did she mean she needs it ? I pulled out me phone and quickly called Malik.

- I just had a conversation with Kennedy and she said you killed her man and that Maiari needs support. I feel like something is about to happen.

Soon after he hung up and I began to enjoy myself again time came to sing Happy Birthday and we ate cake then began to open presents. It felt good to be drama free and not have to worry about anybody or anything trying to fuck up what I had going on.
"This one is from mommy" Her mother said passing the carry bag to Mai. "Oooh" she said eyes glowing up. "It's a woof woof" she replied , everyone began to laugh. "Okay guys, that's it I appreciate everyone who came out to help celebrate my one year olds first year. You ain't gotta go home but you gotta get the fuck out of here, goodnight"
When everyone cleared out i began to clean up. Malik had went upstairs to give Mai a bath and put her to sleep. I was cleaning off the coffee table when Malik came down stairs. "You tired?" I asked him he simply smirked and inhaled a breath. "I love you Blessing" he replied while staring me into my eyes. "You do?" I replied a little shook up. "Yes, I do." He replied while trying to read my body language. "Well Malik I love you to, but I honestly don't think I can see myself with you I can't have your children. What would make you want to love me?"
"You" he said while embracing me. I sobbed into his chest a little as he held me , I still couldn't cope with knowing that there was a possibility of me not being able to carry a child. "I'm going to marry you Blessing" he said while lifting up my chin. He then kissed me and sent me off to bed.
