Chapter 31

Blessing and Malik returned home and the day went on as any other day would. Malik still hadn't informed Blessing, but it was eating him alive. Malik had went to a routine checkup when he was a younger boy and when they checked his scrotum, he had a vein which was bigger than usual. This is what causes his sperm to not work efficiently. He knew just because , he had a low chance of having babies that he shouldn't have sex without a condom. He'd forgotten to put it back on. Now here he was with one female , the love of his life, the lady he wanted to marry and she was insecure because she was uncertain if she could carry his child. Let's not forget Mercedes the "baby mama" who not only had one, but may be having both of his children.

"Malik I'm talking to you" she said cutting him from his thoughts. "I'm sorry baby, what were you saying" he replied not really clearing his mind of what he was thinking of. "Nothing" she said continuing to wash the dishes. "If you're thinking that hard to the point where you can't hear me having a whole conversation with you then something is wrong" she said scraping off a plate into the trash can.

"I'm listening babe I apologize" he replied giving her his undivided attention. She just shrugged him off and continued what she was doing. Malik felt as though Blessing was becoming more and more insecure. He didn't want to throw her insecurities in her face by letting her know that there may be a possibility he'd gotten another female pregnant.

Blessing's Pov

          After finishing up the dishes I went to my old room and got the present I'd been trying to tell Malik about. Its like he was extremely uninterested in anything I had to say at that point in time. I was scared and I just wanted him to acknowledge that and let me know that I had nothing to worry about. I slowly opened the box as Malik walked in. "What's that?" He asked while walking towards me. "It's nothing" I replied simply closing the box back . "So we're hiding things from each other now ?" He replied with a hurt tone . "No Malik I'm just not ready to show you yet" I said putting it back up.

"What do you need?" I replied returning back to my seat. "I have something to tell you" he said rubbing his head. -"Yes" I replied scared for what words were about to come from his mouth. He seemed scared for my reaction, he took his time reading my every move. "When I first came out here, you know when you we're into Ziare. Me and Mercedes had sex, today she made aware to me that she may be pregnant." He said looking straight at me not even blinking.

Malik's Pov

          I watched as a tear rolled down her cheek. Nothing was said, nobody moved it was just quiet. I went to try and comfort her, but she just sat there it was as though she was frozen in time. "Blessing we don't know for sure, it was just one test let's give it some time." I said while hugging her, but I got nothing in return. I got up and left out closing the door behind me and soon heard soft sobs. I felt as though I'd just ripped her heart out. I didn't want her to be hurt, but yet I caused it.

Blessing's Pov

          I didn't know what to think I was just hurt. What was I supposed to do, I locked my door behind him when he left and went to take a bath. I just needed to get away. I blasted Do better - lil Donald through my speakers. I didn't know if I should be mad or not , we weren't together but we are engaged now. I just wanted to be happy. I soaked and washed then when I was done I got out and got dress in something to sleep in. I packed something light and put it in my trunk. After I grabbed the box and got it prepared to give to him. I left it on the counter with a note then I got in my car and drove away.

Malik's Pov

I got home and went to knock on the door, but nothing was said. "Blessing!" I yelled through the door .... nothing. I went downstairs to grab a bottle of water and on the island there was the box Blessing didn't want to give me and a note.

"I just wanted you to know that we finally did it. I love you Malik, but I fell In Too Deep."
