"I hope y'all working and not playing around!" I yelled down the stairs to the younger boys, Malik had hired to decorate. I would have done it myself, but I had to get ready as well as get Mai ready. Malik was preparing the food and this was the deal that me and him had came up with. While my bath water was running I picked Mai & I out a outfit. We brushed our teeth and I then stopped the water and we got in. "How do you feel about the baby mama?" I questioned her as I detangled her hair. "1 baby , 2 baby .." she replied as she held up her fingers. I giggled "no mama just one" I said as I washed her body.
After we finished I put my robe on and began to get Mai dressed. Just something simple. I left her hair out and ran some moisturizer through it, then put on cocomelon and sat her in front of the tv so that I could get myself ready. I snapped a selfie and posted it to Instagram before grabbing Mai and heading down stairs.

When I made it downstairs I was lost for words. It was exactly what I had visioned, and it was 8:30 . Everyone had arrived except for my mother and father which was odd. "Did you pay them !" I asked Malik while walking into the Kitchen. "Duh , get out my pot" he said while keeping his focus. "My bad tinka-butt" I said with a smirk while looking away. The door bell then rang. "Stop calling me that, what the fuck is a tinka butt?" He asked while staring at the side of my head. "It's you" I replied while going to answer the door.
Of course it was my mom and dad. They followed me into the kitchen. Without yet seeing my belly. "It smells nice Leelee" my mom said while going to give him a quick hug, I immediately bussed out into laughter. "Thanks ma" he replied while shooting me the death glare. "So how's everything been" she asked making conversation with him. "It's been perfect" he replied while washing off the chopping board.
Malik & I both had pet peeves, but we could not stand when a person didn't wash as they went ! The kitchen just looks way cleaner and organized. I smiled at the thought of it. Malik then left the kitchen to go get Mai. "Will everyone make there way into the den!" I spoke into the microphone. Malik then entered with Mai on his hip.

"Okay , so as you all can see ... this isn't any ordinary Sunday dinner. We all know that I had an ovarian cyst and now I am left with just one ovary. I was told that it would be hard for me to have kids but, god has blessed us with a baby." I said with a tear rolling down my cheek. "Awh baby" Bre yelled rushing to give me a hug.
"Again I apologize for keeping such a big secret but, we wanted to be past the first trimester. It's easier for you to miscarry and I didn't want to give our hopes up, but we made it ... so , welcome to our gender reveal !" I said while making my way over to my seat.
Maia soon made her way over to Malik and I. "I appreciate you inviting me" she said while bending over to hug me. "No! Thank you for coming!" I replied while looking at Malik. "What do you want it to be?" She asked while looking at my belly. "Healthy .. health is wealth, but if I could choose I would like to have a girl" I nodded my head. Everyone came over to congratulate me. This was the perfect day.
"So when's the wedding?" Granny asked while hugging me. "It's a month before the baby is due." I replied while grabbing Maliks hand. "Well I do enjoy your presence and I do believe that you are a perfect match for my grandson" She responded while grabbing Mai's cheeks. I couldn't help, but to let the tears fall.
"Thank you" I said through sobs. I honestly did love Malik and we'd been through a bunch ! Good and bad , I could honestly say that I am ready to be his wife. The party went on, we continued to socialize until it became time to play a game.
Breyale did the honors of starting. "Good afternoon everyone my name is Breyale. I am Blessing's sister aka the godmother to my niece or nephew." She said before soon being interrupted by Malik. "Talk your noise sis, or whatever it is y'all say" he said cutting his eye. Everyone soon began to burst into laughter. "Shut up you coon" she rolled her eyes before soon finishing. "The first game we will be playing, or should I say the longest game Is called don't say baby. Everyone was given two clothespin when they entered, which reads boy or girl. If you hear someone say the b word starting now, you are subject to take their clip. The last 3 people with the most clips win prizes." Everyone was now prepared for what was next.
"The next game is simple. There are four players on each team so two players will be standing across from each other. When I ring the bell the first two people on each team must blow up both of their balloons, Put them in their shirts and bump stomachs so that they pop. After they are done the second set of people have to do the same. First to finish wins." The bell rung and we watched as everyone rushed to blow their balloons up. First was Jux an Dex. "Man this shit gay!" Jux yelled as they ran into each other. "Shut the fuck up and come on!" Dex replied getting antsy. We watched as they both crashed into each other and Malik began to crack up. "See nigga look what you did!" Dex yelled as he got up from the floor. "This was your dumb ass idea wasn't it" Jux said looking up to Malik who at this point was on the floor. "I wish it was" he joked as tears fell from his eyes and he dramatically wiped them. We heard a loud pop, and then Breyale announced that Team A had won.
The party went on until it was time to announce the gender. When the time came Malik and I was told to step outside. When we did there were two teddy bears sitting on the table. We stood up front and everyone else crowded around. "Blessing, you and Malik must dress the bears with the appropriate clothes. Both of y'all have 4 items to dress it in and it reveals the gender. Flip over the card and that is what you will dress the bear in. Start when you are ready."
