Chapter 5

Blessing Pov

He walked out the room with no words left. After a few minutes I walked out, I went down stairs to the kitchen and there he was conversing with Malik.

"Still here ?" I asked making my presence known. "How you know him?" Zaire said with rage in his look. "It shouldn't matter should it ?" I said taking a seat.

"Blessing you don't even know the story. A year ago I moved from Atlanta. Mercedes and I had been together throughout that year, but she left when she realized she was pregnant and the baby wasn't mines. When Mercedes called me I guess my feelings just came back." He said in one breath like I cared.

"You mean your dick just got hard" I said laughing . That just caused him to get even more heated. "What that have to do with Malik though?" I asked curiously. "It's his baby" I looked at Malik. I had knew he had a baby, but I didn't know it was by Zaire's girlfriend . "Okay bye" I said opening my front door.

I went upstairs to to get dressed. Me and Kennedy decided that we were going to match. So we both threw on sweat suits. After asking Malik if he wanted to go and him agreeing we all got in the car.

We arrived at the mall , and went to my job. I seen a pair of yellow and black foamposites and instantly fell in love so I asked for my size and paid for them with my discount.

When we finished we went to the food court . I bought me some Chick-Fil-A and we sat in and ate.

"What you looking at me like that for Malik ?" I asked looking at him he had looked me up and down in just a matter of those seconds. "No reason" Kennedy looked and rolled her eyes. "It's a reason to everything" she said sarcastically. "Y'all ready?" I asked they both said yeah and we dipped.

I cleaned up and ate the rest of my food from earlier. I missed Amira terribly , but I guess this was better for the both of us. Her dad was in love with someone else. I have to stop playing around and get serious about some shit .

After I finished eating I went and finished my packet from 1st period. Until a text came through on my phone.

Today 6:27 PM

After sending the message, there was a knock at my door. "Come in" he had on a white tee and red basketball shorts. He came in sitting at my makeup vanity. "Okay so what's question number 1 ?" "x^2- 3|x - 2| - 4x = - 6" I replied . "Well shit x the only letter so solve for x" he said . "How is that helping ?" I laughed . "You already know what to do, I'm just backup like Batman and Robin" he laughed I just continued with the problem.

1 hr 1/2 Later

Malik POV

  Blessing had fell asleep watching a movie with me, so I decided to slide from under her and go to my own room. I sent her a message when I got there .

Hey Mamas You Was Knocked Snoring And All . Sike Nah You Was Beautiful , I Had Fun But Its 8:30 p. Come See Me When You Wake Up.

I took a shower and slid into my bed. Dozing off my daughter ran through my head . I need to go see her.

Zaire POV

  I Needed to see Blessing, I know I am in love with Mercedes , but she's still in the mood of playing around. I got in the truck and drove over there. When I got there I knocked and waited , but she wasn't answering.

Blessing Pov

   I woke up to someone banging on my door like the damn police. I grabbed my phone and read Malik message. It was so cute.

   "Who the fuck is it ?" I said swinging the door open, but when I did Id wish I hadn't. "What Zaire ?" I said annoyed of his presence. "I miss you , you..." I slammed the door right in his face.

I'm fixing to come out there.

  I grabbed another comforter bringing it down stairs. I couldn't stop smiling, I gave him a hug and sat down. "Big baby ass" he said sitting next to me . We were watching Tv me laying on his chest asking questions. "How's your mom doing ?" I asked just wondering. "She good" he replied not taking his eyes off of the Television. I took a deep breath , "what's wrong?" He asked looking at me. "I miss my brother." "Go Visit"

     "Malik?" I said about to fall into a deep sleep. "Yeah?" He said all focus on me. "I'm tired of being hurt" I whispered. "Well you ain't got to hurt no more" he said and with that I was out.

Malik Pov

  I kissed her forehead and got up walking to my room. The clock read 11:44 , I was out.
