Chapter Eleven

Two days later, Ana was healthy enough to be let out of the room. She stood up and looked around, she saw her mother speaking with the Princess. They came over and looked at her. 

"Ana, swallow this. It'll help." Shuri said. Ana looked at the pill in her hand and shook her head. Her eyes were wide open and she blinked at her mother. Natasha folded her arms across her chest, in a motherly way. 

"Ana, baby. Please?" Natasha begged. Ana shook her head and jumped off the bed and onto the floor. She walked backward until she almost hit the wall. She gave them a small smile and wink. 

"Ana!" Ana grinned and bolted out of the room and down the hallway. She ran down the hallway, she aimed for the common room that T'Challa had set up for the Avengers. She turned around the sharp corner and ran into the room. 

"Uncle Sam!" Sam turned around and saw Ana run up to him and gave him a hug, he was sent backwards but recomposed himself. Though confused, Sam hugged her back and smiled. "Thank you." 

"For what, bear?" 

"For hiding me from mama and Shuri, they want to give me medicine." Sam scoffed lovingly and turned her away so her back was away from the door. 

"I'll protect you from anything," Sam said, though it meant more than she would know. He turned around when he saw Natasha run into the room and stop at the door and try to catch her breath. 

"Ana, baby. You have to have this, it's just one pill. Just swallow it, it isn't that bad." Natasha huffed out. Kayla and Sam burst out laughing that one of the most feared assassins was afraid of pills. Ana buried her head into Sam's chest even more and Sam turned her away from her mother. 

"Nuh-uh. Uncle Sam said he would protect me." Natasha burst out laughing and gave up. She turned and left the room not before giving Sam a dirty look. 

"You are going to get me in trouble with your mom." Sam said, lightly. Ana smiled and separated herself from Sam and gave him a big smile. She left the room and Sam turned and faced Kayla. He grabbed Kayla's hand and smiled at her. 

"Oh come on!" Ana shouted, they heard Natasha laugh. Sam looked his fiancé in the eye and burst out laughing. He pulled her in a hug and settled his head on top of her head. 

"Those two." Kayla laughed and Sam couldn't agree anymore, he pulled her in tighter and hoped that their little one would be as playful as Ana. 

They left Wakanda that afternoon. Wanda, Lexi, Sam, Kayla, Natasha and Ana walked out into the heat and stood waiting for Steve to finish. Steve walked up to them and stood in front with them. 

"Thank you, Mr. Cat," Ana said, T'Challa smiled and shook the 16-year-old's hand. Ana had her injuries bandaged and re-bandaged more than once by the King, she liked causing trouble with her wounds. 

"You're welcome." They turned and walked up the ramp into the QuinJet. They were about to close the doors but were stopped by Shuri running into the Jet with a bag.
