Red and Blue: 1

~Lauren's POV~

"Damn it Styles. How many times do I have to tell you." Once again Harry has left the door to our house unlocked. Late nights really gets to him but leaving the door unlocked is dangerous especially in the line of work we do.

"Sorry Lauren. We got in late last night and I thought I locked it behind me." Harry says, he walked over to the door and locked it. It's a little late for that.

"Never mind that we have to go. We have a case." I tell him. He gathered his things and walked towards the door.

"Can we stop for coffee. I may have broken the one at the precinct." He says. I roll my eyes and nod my head.

On the way to the coffee shop Harry had insisted that I listen to this new artist. It was like hell, he played one song the whole way. So when we finally arrived I hopped out of the car as fast as I could.

"Get me my usual, please!" Harry says from the car. I give him a middle finger and make my way into the coffee shop.

As I opened the door to the coffee shop a group of people came out. One boy carried all of the coffee, he looked to be struggling. I would offer my help but I am in a rush.

"Hey beautiful." I hear one of the boys say. He had his arm thrown over a girl, while trying to hit on me. I refrained from speaking and waited until the last person came out.

"Hey I was talking to you." The same boy says. I roll my eyes and try to enter the coffee shop. To my dismay the boy grabs my arm.

"Let go of me." I tell him, that didn't seem to do much because his grip got tighter.

"Payne, she told you to let go." A girl says as she came out of the coffee shop. The boy whose name was apparently Payne quickly let go of my arm.

"Sorry about that." Payne says. He leaves to go join the rest of his friends.

"I'm sorry about my friend, he can be a douche sometimes." The girl says, as she smiled at me.

"It's fine. You should tell him to be careful though." I tell her. Her smile fades and I can see something flash in her eyes.

"Oh yeah? Why is that?" She ask. I look back at the car to see Harry not paying any attention.

"Because I'm a cop." I tell her, I thought maybe she would kinda be afraid, that wasn't the case though.

"A cop. You don't strike me as a cop." The girl says as she looks me up and down.

"I'm sorry what's your name again?" I ask. Her smile appeared back on her face.

"I never told you. It was nice meeting you though." The girl says as she leaves. I watch her get into a different car than the rest of her friends.

Forgetting about the coffee I head back to my car where Harry was waiting. When I opened the door and got into the car he seemed confused.

"Where's my coffee?" He ask. I sighed and started to drive.

"The lines were too long, I'll by you one later." I tell him, he seemed to believe me despite me not even going into the coffee shop.

"Oh lieutenant called and said he was assigning us a team." Harry says. I nearly run off the road, why the hell was he giving us a team. Harry and I work better when it's just us two.

We finally arrived at the precinct and Harry couldn't wait to go inside. See today is Monday and they always give out free donuts on Monday. I on the other hand hated Monday, it was another day to me. The same thing over and over.
