Red and Blue: 9
~the precinct~
Lauren walked into the precinct with her guard up. Nobody was to be trusted. It seemed like everyone had it out for her, all eyes were on her and she hated it.
"Lauren we need to talk." Ashley says to Lauren.
Lauren eyed the girl, not sure if she could trust her. Deciding to hear the girl out she walked into her office. Before Ashely started to talk Lauren held up a finger to stop her. She searched the room for any signs of a bug, or any type of listening device. When she found none she started to talk.
"Tell me what you know." Lauren says. She had her arms crossed and her eyes trained on Ashley.
"It was the same person that killed those other cops." Ashley says.
"How can you be so sure?" Lauren asked.
"Why else would someone shoot Harry?"
Lauren didn't answer. She stood there and just thought. She had just came back from Miami after learning nothing that would help the case. Now her best friend is in the hospital after being shot because of the case. They must have learned something on that trip that was valuable, but she didn't know what.
"Run a background check for me on Alejandro Cabello. Get me all the information you can." Lauren told Ashley, the short haired girl nodded her head and turned towards their door. "And Ash...don't tell anyone."
Lauren day down at her desk. She had her back towards the door and had her feet tucked into her chest. She was stressed and she knew it was the time nor the place to loose her cool. Lauren was brought out of her thoughts when her phone rung, she checked the caller Id and didn't recognize the number. She answered it anyway.
"Hello?"
"How's the partner?" A voice said on the other end. Lauren couldn't make out the voice because of how disoriented it sounded.
"Who is this?" Lauren asked. When she got no answer she got angry. "Look you piece of shit, you shot my partner and that pisses me off. You may have gotten away with killing cops in the past but that's over with. You fucked with the wrong person and I can promise you that when I do find you I'm not going to hesitate to put a bullet into your skull. You made this personal the minute you shot my partner and I'm going to make it my personal mission to make sure you suffer."
"I'm sorry about Harry." The voice says and then hangs up.
That threw Lauren off. The killer apologizes for shooting Harry made Lauren very confused. She expected something much worse, something like a threat to her life. None of that matter to Lauren at the moment though, all that matter was finding the bastard that shot Harry and making sure they suffer.

"Why are you holding back information?" Dinah asked Camila.
"Dinah now is not the time." Camila had just hung up the phone and was in no mood to talk.
"You just apologized for having Harry shot... now is the exact time for you to start talking." Dinah huffed. Camila rolled her eyes at home dramatic the girl was.
"Dinah..."
"Now Camila."
Camila waved her hand in the air to indicate that everyone should leave the room. There was not a lot of people in the room but she still wanted her privacy. Once the room was clear Camila walked over to the door and locked it, she pressed the button next to the door and heard all of the security locks. The room was now sound proof and she was free to talk about whatever she wanted.
"Sit down Dinah." Camila motioned to the many chairs in the room. Dinah chose the arm chair right across from the door.
"Mila what the hell is so important about this girl?"
"That's Lauren Jauregui." Camila says. Dinah didn't get it at first but then it hit her.
"As in Mike Jauregui's daughter?" Dinah asked rhetorically. "As in the heir of the Jauregui mob... the girl you've had a crush on since forever?"
"Dinah don't say it like that." Camila says.
"It's true. You told me about her but you never mentioned a name." Dinah says. She understood now.
"Lauren never noticed me growing up. Her father never really allowed her to be around others that were involved in his mob." Camila said.
"How did he expect her to run the business if she had never seen the actual business?" Dinah asked.
"He didn't want her to. His plan was to stop and he tried but when my mother was killed by those undercover cops he wanted revenge so he back into the game." Camila says. Camila sat down and ran her hand through her hair.
"That's why you came here? To keep a eye on her." Dinah says. Camila nodded her head.
"I was assigned to watch her but I asked to be the one to watch her. And I was doing fine with staying in the shadows until she got assigned that case."
"Because you were told to kill anyone that worked on the case..." Dinah showed sympathy for the girl.
"And I can't kill her nor Harry. Killing her would kill me and killing Harry would kill her which would kill me." Camila says.
"So what happens if you don't kill her?" Dinah asked.
"Someone else will."
"But Mike would never kill his daughter."
"It's not Mike that ordered me to kill anyone that worked on the case." Camila wanted to scream she was so conflicted.
"Then who?"
"Clara Jauregui..."
Dinah nearly fell out of her chair. This was becoming to much and she had no idea how Camila was dealing with it.
"How are we going to fix this?" Dinah asked. She would stick with Camila through everything and she wanted the younger girl to know.
"She doesn't trust me."
"Well let's get her to trust you and then we'll go from there." Dinah says.
