Camila's POV

"It's simple boss, we don't have the man power to take her down." Zayn says. Now having a sling over his arm, he slowly looks up from the drawing board.

I had yet to speak to him. I needed to cool down and to think that one of the people I trusted the most didn't want me to be happy hurt.

"Dinah, I want to change everything." I looked around at the new team feeling slightly disappointed that I  wasn't able to protect my original team.

"That would be ill advised ma'am." One of the new members says. I had yet to remember their names opting to just give them ones.

Like now the long, brown haired, blue eyed girl, whom had just address me spoke. I gave the girl a slight eye roll before I began to speak.

"Listen Taya, I didn't ask for you opinion." I looked at the whole team a huffed loudly.

"Everyone just leave. We'll continue later." Dinah says. She waited for everyone to leave before she addressed me.

"Don't even start with me." I said. "I've been through enough and I don't need any shit from you."

"No Camila this has gotten out of hand. I get it you have a crush but there is no need to take this out on us." Dinah says. She wipes the drawing board clean before writing something else.

"Let's just focus on this." I respond. "Pops sent these trained killers so let them do their job. We know she wants Lauren, bring her here and we can end all of this."

"Camila you're talking crazy. We can't just take Lauren she is a cop and right now the whole police department and lets not forget her father is watching her like a hawk." Dinah says.

I huffed and tossed the marker across the room. This was beyond frustrated nothing seemed to be going right. I no longer found any hope, couldn't see a happy ending for this.

"What do you suppose we do?"

~the hospital ~

"What the hell happened?" Mike's voice could be heard. Normani felt a chill go down her spine at the anger laced in his voice.

Nobody spoke a word. Fearing they might say the wrong thing and just plain fear. Mike looked around at everyone sitting in the waiting room, his right hand man Alejandro standing beside him.

"Say something now or I swear..."

"Overton." Niall says.

The color in Mike's face had drained. He didn't need anymore information to know who Overton was.

"Bite your tongue boy." Mike hissed. He turned his head to look at his daughter who was resting. "Everyone out now."

The room emptied without any hesitation. Mike took a seat next to his daughter and gave a low huff. He took out his phone and dialed a number he hadn't thought about in a long time, he heard the ringing and waited for a answer.

"Long time no see." A female voice says.

"I will kill you." Mike says with nothing but anger.

"Is that anyway to talk to the mother of your child. You know I'm really upset at the way you raised her or should I say that bitch of yours." The voice paused before it continued this time it was softer. "You promised you would tell her about me, you said you would make sure she knew who her real mother was. She would know I wasn't always this way."

"You abandoned her."

"No I left to protect you, you told me it was the right thing."

"Is that what you're telling yourself?" Mike laughed. "You harmed my daughter and now I will kill you and anyone that gets in the way."

"Oh Mike how naive of you, I died the day I left Lauren with you."

"Overton I am warning you...this is not going to end good for you."

"Nor is it for you." The call ended there, Mike knew that a threat wasn't going to scare Overton but he wasn't sure what else to do.

A knock on the door brought him out of his thoughts. He turned his head to see Alejandro walk in holding a file, the last thing he wanted to do was talk business in front of his hospital bond daughter.

"We have photos of the attackers." Alejandro handed the file over to Mike, who started flipping through the file. "It appears your daughter was out on a date, now there were two groups from what we can see. Group A looks to be following the girls, while group B seem to be watching out for them."

"Isn't that your daughter?" Mike asked. Alejandro nodded his head. "Where is she?"

"Home, some of her team have been found dead so we assume Overton team killed them." Alejandro says.

"Get her here."

"All due respect bringing my daughter here isn't safe."

"I didn't ask if it was safe, I want to know what the hell happened."

Alejandro left the room in search of his daughter. While Mike seemed to be thinking about something he never thought would happen.
