~Miami~

"Hello ladies!" Harry says as he takes off his shades. Lauren grabbed her bag and walked to the car that was waiting for them.

"Hello miss Jauregui. The driver says. He opened the door and allowed the two into the car.

"Hi Casper. It's been a long time." Lauren says with a smile on her face.

"Sup Casper." Harry says in a bored voice. Harry and Casper had a weird relationship. They only spoke to each other when it was needed. There was no real reason as to why they didn't like each other.

"Evening Harry." Casper spoke. The drive to Lauren's childhood home was quite. Lauren was worried about what her father would say about her not being married yet. He had a strong belief that a woman needed a man.

"We're here miss Jauregui." Casper says. Lauren looked at the house and gulped.

"Casper I've told you since we were younger to call me Lauren." Lauren says as grabbed the bags from him.

"I would love to but your father wouldn't like that." Casper says. He got back in the car and bid the best friends goodbye.

"Time to meet lord papa J." Harry says as they walk to the door.

"You've met my dad." Lauren says as she rolled her eyes.

"No. I know papa J... this... this is lord papa J." Harry says as he rings the door bell.

Seconds later the door was open and Lauren felt a smile form on her lips. Lauren's mother was standing there with a rag thrown over her shoulder.

"Hi mama J." Harry greets her. He sat his bags down and gave her a hug.

"Harry!" Clara says. She gave him a warm hug. "Oh my baby." She says as she looks at Lauren.

"Ma." Lauren says with a tight lipped smile.

"This is a surprise. If I had of known you were coming I would have made your favorite dish." Clara says as she opens the door wider to allow them into the house.

"No need mama, I'm here to talk to dad." Lauren says. Clara nodded her head.

"He's outback with one of his buddies, I will go get him." Clara says as she walks to the back.

"No it's fine. Harry and I will go back there." Lauren says. She sat her bags down and walked to the back with Harry not far behind.

Exiting the back door Lauren was greeted with the smell of alcohol and cigarettes. Her father stood beside a man who all seemed to be hanging off of his every word. Mike Jauregui took notice to the back door being opened and stopped his talking. That cause the man to turn his head in the direction of the door.

"Ah! Baby girl!" Mike says. He made his way over to Lauren and gave her a bear hug.

"Dad." Lauren said in a annoyed voice. He let go off her and proceeded to do the same to Harry.

"What a surprise. How long has it been three years?" Mike asked. Lauren hadn't realized how long she had been gone until now.

"I guess so. I need to talk to you." Lauren says. This wasn't a family gathering for her, she wanted information.

"Slow down kiddo. Let me introduce you to a pal of mines." Mike ushered Harry and Lauren over to the man.

"Papa J I love what you've done to the backyard." Harry says. Lauren looked around and noticed a few changes here and there.

"Lauren and Harry meet my underdog. Alejandro Cabello." Mike introduces them.

"It's very nice to meet the infamous Lauren. Your dad here talks about you a lot." Alejandro says. Lauren gave the man a tight lipped smile.

"Cabello we can finish this conversation later." Mike says. Alejandro nodded his head and proceeded to leave.

"Dad we need to talk about your gang." Lauren says. Mike gives her a weird look before practically shoving her and Harry into the house.

"You know better than to talk about that stuff." He scolds her. Lauren rolls her eyes.

"It's about a case of mines. I think one of your bangers are committing the crimes." Lauren says.

"Lauren Michelle." Mike warned.

"Look Papa J we wouldn't have come all the way down here if it wasn't important. They're killing cops." Harry says. Mike raised his eyebrow at the information.

"Why would you think someone in my gang has something to do with it?" Mike asked.

"Mason Nocks." Lauren says. Mike nearly chocked on his beer.

"Nocks is dead. I sent one of my best men to kill him." Mike says.

"Who did you send?" Harry asked. Mike didn't answer the question.

"Dad. This could be our killer." Lauren says. She walked over to her father and looked him in the eye. "Would you really protect someone who could eventually kill me?"

"She's not your killer." Mike says lowly.

"She?" Harry ask. Mike nods his head before he downs the rest of his beer.

"Sinu Cabello. She was married to Alejandro before she was gunned down by some undercover cops." Mike says. "They have a daughter, she's probably around your age now."

"How long ago did Sinu die?" Harry asked.

"I told you it wasn't her so why do you care?" Mike asked. Lauren raised her eyebrow at her father.

"We would like to talk to Alejandro." Lauren says. Mike shakes his head no.

"Absolutely not." Mike said as he walked away.

"So now what?" Harry asked. Lauren gave him a smirk.

"Now we go talk Alejandro." Lauren says.

~The Safire~

"What is this place?" Harry ask as he and Lauren walked through the doors.

"This is the hang out spot for all the gang members in bloody snicks." Lauren says. She made her way over to the main office but was stopped by a man.

"You're not allowed back there." The man says in a monotone voice.

"I just want to talk to Alejandro." Lauren says. The man didn't make a move.

"Look you're new here clearly because if you weren't then you would know who I am." Lauren says. The man glanced at her.

"And who might that be?" The man asked.

"That mr. Rory is Lauren Jauregui. The daughter of the man that's paying you." Alejandro says as he comes out of his office.

"I'm sorry about that miss." The man says. Lauren doesn't respond.

"I assume you're here to see me?" Alejandro ask. Lauren nods her head.

"I want to talk about the death of your wife." Lauren says.

"I have so much respect for your father that I will tell you this politely. There is no way in hell I'm talking about my dead wife with you." Alejandro says

"No?" Lauren says rhetorically. Alejandro nodded his head and left the room.

"Well that went well." Harry says mockingly. Lauren rolled her eyes, she was going to find out weather he like it or not.
