~the hospital~

"Can you tell me where Harry Styles room is?" Lauren asked the lady at the front desk.

"Just a minute." The lady searched through some papers which caused Lauren to grow impatient.

"Any day now." Lauren says to the lady.

"He's still in surgery, so you can wait in the waiting room." The woman says as she points to the waiting room.

"No you don't understand, he needs me in there with him." Lauren tries to explain.

"Miss if you could just wait." The woman says.

The was about to give the woman a piece of her mind but her name was being called.

"Lauren?" The mystery voice says. Lauren turned to see Camila standing behind her with a drink in her hand. "What are you doing here?"

"My partner." Lauren says. "Why are you here?"

"Visiting." Camila replies. Lauren noticed the girl looked to be dressed up. Which she found kinda weird since it was too early for anything to be happening.

"What happened to your partner?"

Before Lauren could answer her phone was ringing. She looked at the caller ID and saw Ashley's name pop up. She excused herself and answered the phone.

"Ash what's wrong?" She quickly asked.

"Casper is gone. He was in your office but when I went back he was gone." Ashley explained.

"It's fine I know where he's going." Lauren told their girl.

"Where might that be?"

"Here." Lauren says as she sees Casper walking into the doors of the hospital. Lauren hung up the phone.

"Lauren is he okay?" Casper asked. Lauren found it kinda weird that Casper was so concerned about Harry. As far as she knew they didn't like each other.

"I don't know." Lauren tells him. "Why did you leave the precinct?"

"I needed to know if he was okay." Casper says lowly.

"Why?"

"Lauren.."

"Why Casper?"

"Because I care about him." Casper speaks quickly.

"You care about him?" Lauren was shocked at the confession.

"Harry and I have been hooking up since I first met you guys." Casper informs the girl.

Lauren didn't respond. She couldn't think of anything to say. She just wanted to make sure Harry was okay.

"Sorry to interrupt but I brought you some coffee." Camila says. She had a cup of coffee in her hand.

"Umm, Thanks." Lauren accepted the coffee.

"So why is your partner here?" Camila asked again. Lauren eyed the girl, she was suspicious of everybody now.

"What's your last name?" Lauren asked the girl. She wanted to run a background check on her.

Camila seemed to notice the change in behavior. She noticed how guarded Lauren seemed and she knew she needed to play her cards right.

"Estrabao." Camila says. She knew that if Lauren looked her up she would find nothing.

"Sorry but she's not talking to anyone right now." Casper tells Camila.

Camila looked to him and back at Lauren. She sat there for a little longer but eventually got up. When she was gone Lauren turned her head to Casper and gave him a questioning look.

"Sorry but you didn't even know her last name, which means you're not good friends which also means we can't trust her." Casper says.

Lauren and Casper sat in the waiting room for hours. When Lauren finally decided to look at her phone it was almost lunch time. She wasn't hungry and she didn't plan on leaving.

"Lauren your phone is ringing." Casper says. He had noticed the girl had zoned out.

"Hello?" Lauren asked.

"Where the hell are you?" Lucy asked on the other line. She had been at the coffee shop for a hour waiting on Lauren.

"The hospital."

"Wait what happened?" Lucy asked.

"I can't tell you over the phone."

"I'm on my way."

Lucy hung up the phone and was on her way to the hospital. Lauren had leaned back into the uncomfortable hospital chair. She couldn't believe what was happening.

~the coffee shop~

Lucy had ordered her drink and was waiting on Lauren. She had gotten there a little late but since Lauren hadn't shown up yet she didn't dwell on it.

A hour had past and she decided to call Lauren. The phone call didn't last over two minutes, she heard the pain in Lauren's voice and knew the green eyed girl needed her.

"Hey Lucy, right?" A tall blonde haired girl asked.

"Yea that's me. Do I know you?" Lucy asked the girl.

"Oh no, I'm Dinah a friend of Camila." Dinah says. Lucy nodded her head.

"Great. I have to go." Lucy says as she tries to leave.

"Wait she wanted to know how Harry was doing." Dinah says.

"How do you know about Harry?" Lucy asked.

"She was at the hospital and talked to Lauren but the girl seemed out of it." Dinah says.

"Oh. Well I'm not sure." Lucy says. "I have to go."

Lucy left the coffee shop and made her way to the hospital. Upon walking through the doors she could feel the depressed mood. She hated hospitals. She walked straight to the waiting area knowing that's where Lauren would be.

"Laur are you okay?" Lucy asked as she examined the girl for ant signs of harm.

"I'm fine Lucy." Lauren shrugged the brown eyed girl hands off. "This is Casper he's a friend."

"Friend? I've never heard or seen Casper." Lucy says suspiciously.

"I'm from Miami." Casper says. Lucy nodded her head.

The room fell quite. The fact that they were even in the hospital because of a case made Lauren angry. She nor Harry had ever been injured on the job. It had been another hour before a doctor came into the waiting room.

"Harry Styles?" The doctor called out Harry's name. Lauren was the first to stand up.

"We're his friends." Lauren says to the doctor.

"I'm sorry but we're going to need his family here. Is there any way to get into contact with his immediate family?" The doctor ask.

"I'm his boyfriend." Casper says quickly. The doctor seemed shocked by the news and a little skeptical.

"Is there anyway to confirm that?" He asked Casper. Casper pulled out his phone and showed a picture of Harry pouring a bucket of water onto him.

"Is that enough?" Casper asked impatiently.

"Yes, as of right now mr. Styles is okay. We were able to get the bullet out and stabilize him. He isn't awake yet and probably want wake up until tomorrow. There is one thing that is concerning us, are you aware of the fact that he has self inflicted wounds ?" The doctor asked.

Casper was quick to look at Lauren who nodded her head. She had known all about Harry harming hisself but to her knowledge he had stopped years ago.

"Well those wounds were infected and the residue on the bullet got into his wound which is why he's on a lot of medication, but I assure you he will be fine."

"Can we see him?" Lauren asked. The doctor nodded his head and told them which room he was in.
