Chapter 7

I woke up the next morning to my step mom taylor yelling at my dad

apparently he was suppose to take off work today for their anniversary

i got up and got ready because me and rydel are suppose to hang out today

what am i going to tell her ross and i kissed again...and we're uh dating

i walked out of my room "Hey dad i'm going over to hang with the lynch's i'll be back later" he looked over at me and nodded then turned back around and started to yell back at taylor

"Good Lord! can you all shut up!" i yelled from the bottom of the stairs then ran out the door

i began to walk and i saw a boy with blonde hair walking my way

"Ross?" i yelled "No it's Riker" the guy yelled back

"Oh hey riker what's up?" i smiled "Hey, ross is acting really weird do you know what is up?"

i looked down at the ground and started to play with the zipper on my jacket

"Well do you know?" riker placed his hand on my arm

"Uh yeah we uh" i kept pausing I didn't think Riker would be the first to know but okay

"We uh are uh dating" i looked into riker's green worried eyes

"You are?" he looked at me and took his hand off my arm

"Um yeah" i pulled my phone out of my pocket and clicked the button and i had a text from rydel

"Where are you? i just saw riker walk out the door...ross is being really weird! anything you wanna tell me?" rydel sent

"Hey riker please don't be mad and don't tell anyone i can trust you right?" i looked up at him

"Yeah you can trust me and i'm not mad" he smiled

"Okay good" i smiled back

we both walked back to his house and when i walked through the door rydel ran towards me and grabbed my arm and pulled me up the stairs

"Bye rik!" i yelled as rydel dragged me up the stairs we went into her room and sat on her bed

"Rik?! are you two dating?! i thought you liked ross!" rydel looked at me worried

"No no no riker is my friend thats all chill out and i have something to tell you" i smiled at her

"Yeah?" she smiled back

"me and ross we're uh dating" i blurted out

she smiled and gave me a huge hug "AWW you're perfect for each other" then she let go and started to act weird

Riker's POV:

i like carter i'll admit it

and with ross hanging out with her so much lately is making me pretty upset

i was the one who picked her up off the ground but since ross liked her he took the credit

and today ross has been acting really weird so i wanted to see what was going on

i'm going to go tell carter i like her i mean she should know

i don't really care if ross likes her or not

so i started up the rode to carter's and i saw a beautiful girl walking toward me and obviously it was her

she yelled "Ross?" of coarse she did she's been seeing him

so i answerd "No it's Riker" i walked faster to get to her

we had a little conversation and then i asked her if she knew why ross has been acting weird

she kept pausing and then she told me she told me they were dating

i wanted to tell her right then and there that he wasn't the one who saved her it was me but I couldn't, I couldn't ruin their relationship right then

so i acted like I wasn't upset but inside i really was it was tough hearing that

Rydel's POV:

carter just told me that her and ross we're dating and of coarse i'm happy for her but in my gut, not so much

Riker was the one who saved her she should be in love with riker

When i was in the hospital the day after her back incident and i was telling her about who had picked her up i wanted to tell her the truth so bad

but ross asked me to tell her it was him because he liked her and he told me riker was okay with it so i did i told carter it was ross

and that was wrong

Ross' POV:

Yes! carter is my girlfriend i'm so happy riker is cool with it

at least i think he's cool with it

i hope he's cool with it

i mean i did kinda steal his girl

but he said it was fine

uh oh

Carter's POV:

All of the lynch's are acting weird today

i'm really confused because they tell me everything

but i guess i'm not completely sure of that

i need to talk to ross to see if he knows what is going on around here
