Inside my car with my group, and Kanari sitting on the roof.

We drove through the highway as fast as we can, while the others used helicopters to go behind Aogiri Tree's base, to make dure no one escapes.

With the car's fastes speed, we will reach there before the others do, but we'll still need 12 more minutes to reach the place, so I made small talk.

"Hey! Kanari-kun! How were you kidnapped?"(Haise)

Oh good going, Haise! You just had to ask him something that was possibly traumatic!

While I was berating myself in my mind, Kanari spoke.

"Was 12 years old back then. Reading a book about ghouls in a convenience store, until someone tapped me on the back. Introduced himself as Katou Akihara! He was my hero bacm then. Gave me his number to call if I wanted anything related to ghouls. A week later, I called him and I went to our meeting place, only to be surrounded by ghouls."(Kanari)

Hearing his story, I felt pity, but mostly fury when I heaed the name of the man who did this to me.

Trying to keep my calm, I asked again.

"If possible, can you tell me what happened next?"(Haise)

I waited, until we finally reached the forest.

Getting off the car, we started to prepare our quinques and started to walk here on out.

Kanari jumped off the car's roof and in front us, started to lead the way.

"After I was kidnapped, they said that they needed me. That I'll be the final piece of the puzzle. While they were going through trial and error, they were enhancing my body. Making it stronger, faster, more nimble, better, then perfect. But, every enhancements they've done were always painful, until pain grew dull. And finally, a year ago, after they have gotten the results they wanted, they started to implement it on me, the perfect specimen they call it. Do you want to know who led those experiments, Haise-kun?"(Kanari)

Already knowing who, I still nodded.

"It was professor Kanou. And do you want to know what they were trying to make?"(Kanari)
