24.Battle
Izumi POV
I didn't reply to Kanari, instead, I nuzzled against Kanari's chest.
"Of course, not. It seems that I have gotten the memories of....Jain. So, I know why you'll lie."(Izumi)
Kanari stayed silent, but after a few moments, he embraced me.
"Thanks....Deku."(Kanari)
We stayed like this, now minding the ruckus of the other people in the bus, until the bus stopped, making us let go of each other.
"So....what does this makes us?"(Izumi)
I asked, slightly expectant of his answer.
"One step at a time, Deku. One step at a time. And....Deku..if you really do have 'her' memories now-"(Kanari)
Before he could continue, I cut him off.
"Chase them, too, right? Don't worry, Kana. If the same thing happened to me when we first met, then, I will not stop you. Because, 'we' know that you will love us with all your heart."(Izumi)
When I said that, Kanari blushed, then he giggled loudly.
"Hehehe. This isn't something I'm used to."(Kanari)
"Haha. 'We' know. Now, let's go!"(Izumi)
With us being the last ones to get out, we already saw the other examinees running towards the battle center.
We could already see other examinees running around, trying to get their own points with the remaining 8 minutes.
"This is where we split, Deku. Please, be careful. If you ever get heart, shout my name and I'll be there for you. And avoid those Zero pointers. Good luck!"(Kanari)
"Good luck!!"(Izumi)
With our goodbyes, we split.
Kanari went left, while I moved forward.
Kanari POV
When I split up with Izumi, I focused on my hearing and located the location infested with the Faux robots.
Finding that 23 Faux robots were 12 miles in front of me, I used my enhanced speed to reach that place in one minute.
When I saw the huge robots, I was able to count 7 one pointers, 4 two pointers, 9 three pointers and e zero pointers, totalling to 42 points.
Summoning my Ukakos to let me fly and move faster, my Bikaku to destroy the robots, and the Kuokako for defense, turning my sclera to a light gray, my iris turned white, and my pupil became sky blue, since I am going to be serious right now.
While other examinees were running away from the robots, I ran towards them at a speed where I cannot be seen, using my Kuokako to deflect bullets, rockets and other types of projectiles.
With my Bikaku, I decapitated it with a strong swing, sending the metallic head flying.
And when there was an obstacle, I would flap my Ukakos to fly.
All the robots were destroyed and it all happened in 12.2 seconds.
Since there was no more robots in this vicinity, I started to focus on my nose and ears, to smell blood and hear the pleas of help.
When I was able to locate them, good thing it wasn't too bad, I carried them to the place where we entered the battle center, using speed that wouldn't cause them harm.
After saving other examinees, I then went to decimating 10 more one pointers, 2 more two pointers, 4 more three pointers, and 11 more zero pointers, totalling to 68 points.
Thinking that it is enough, I started to save other examinees for the remaining 5 minutes.
After saving seven more people, the eighth one is in a pretty bad shape.
She has a petite, fair-skinned girl with a slender build. She has triangular, lazy-looking onyx eyes with notably long lower eyelashes, and rather small eyebrows. Her hair is short, only around chin length, and is dark purple in color with an asymmetrical fringe, and two reflections shaped like sound waves on either side of her head. Her most prominent features are the flexible, plug-like earphone jacks hanging from each of her earlobes at the end of two thin cords, which would seem to act like extra limbs.
I got to say, she looks pretty cool.
But that's not the problem.
Right now, she is wincing from pain, caused my the long gash that reached her thigh to her knee, and is deeo enough to show the bones.
"Ple-please! Ca-can you he-help me-me?"(?)
Without hesitation, I kneeled in front of her, and gently placed my hand on her wound.
"Sorry about this. It would be a bit embarrassing, but it will heal you."(Kanari)
Not even waiting for what she had to say, I brought my lips slowly to her gash, and kissed it.
Seconds later, the gash started to stitch itself. Not even leaving a scar.
When the girl, who was blushing, saw that she was healed, she stood up and stretched her leg, checking for anything wrong.
"I'm....healed! Thank you!"(?)
The girl bowed her head, but because of me being so short, I could use my hand to lift her head up.
"Don't thank me. It's what heroes do!"(Kanari)
When she realized that our faces were close, she blushed, but was still able to talk coolly.
"Still....thank you. My name is Jiro Kyoka. Nice to meet you, little girl."(Kyoka)
"Ehem! Firstly, nice to meet you too! Secondly, I ain't small because I am 14 now. Thirdly, I am a boy. And lastly, I am Chihei Kanari. So, until we meet again!"(Kanari)
With that, I left.
As I was running around, I heard Izumi's shout.
"Sssmmmmaaaaassshhhhh!!!!!"(Izumi)
Looking at the direction of her shout, I could see a zero pointer's head getting nearly decapitated by the force from Izumi's Quirk, or rather, the Quirk she inherited from All Might, to which he discussed with me, even before he told Izumi about it.
