Chapter 12

Joes p.o.v

I awoke to the sound of screaming, I turned to see chloe screaming, crying and shouting in her sleep. "Chloe? Chloe wake up!" She jolted up, tears streaming down her cheeks, her hair stuck to her forehead "are you okay? you were having a nightmare" she was sobbing uncontrollably. I picked chloe up and rocked her back and forth in my arms.

"Sshhhh, it's alright, do you want to tell me what happened?" She sat upright a started playing with her thumbs, "my mum and dad died, luke killed them, you left me because you didn't love me anymore, I had no one. Zoe, Alfie, Louise, Matt, marcus, jim, tanya and Naomi all stopped speaking to me, I was left alone, no one came back for me." Chloe stopped crying but was shaking.

I kissed her forehead and whispered in her ear "I will always love you, forever and always. And zoe, Alfie, Louise, Matt, marcus, jim, tanya and Naomi will never leave you! Ever! I promise" she was playing with my hair, like she did when she was tired. "I love you joe, sorry for waking you up" I don't know why she was saying sorry she's done nothing wrong. "It's okay love, I'm going to get a drink so you want anything bringing back?"

She got off my lap and stretched "Erm will u get me a glass of ice water and bring me my friends box set from the living room please?" I nodded and ran to the kitchen got the glasses of water and then got the friends box set, to be honest I wasn't really tired anymore. I walked back to mine and Chloe's room and chloe was sat up in bed. "Here you go love, do you want me to put friends on?" She took a sip of her water and nodded "will you out the first episode on please?

I put the DVD on and get back into bed, I sat up against the head rest while chloe laid her head on my chest. We stayed like this for hours. Chloe fell asleep around five and I joined not long after. Luckily we could have a sleep in tomorrow because we didn't have any important things to do or any places to be tomorrow.
