Saving Loki

Breaking the News

I walk slowly to Loki's cell, thinking of what I'm going to say to him. It had been a day since I was supposed to visit Loki.

I walk inside the cell, and almost immediately Loki's comes over to me and gives me a big kiss. "Loki." I say trying to get his attention.

"I thought something happened to you when you didn't come yesterday. I thought the dark elves got you." He kissed me again and I pulled away. He looked at me, confused. "What's wrong?" He says, seeing the saddened look on my face.

"Loki, I." I try to begin, but those two words were all I could say. Loki's face went from happy to see me, to very concerned. "Yesterday when the dark elves invaded. They were trying to take my sister." I say pausing. He looks at me expectantly. "Frigga was trying to protect her, and then she died saving my sister. One of them stabbed her."

A single tear rolls down his cheek. He takes a step back from me. His face becomes more sad by the minute. Then suddenly, it becomes angry. "AAHHH" He lets out a loud scream, and magic pours out of him, sending furniture flying everywhere. "THOR." He yells, heading for the door.

"Loki, no, you can't." I block his path to the door. Suddenly, another burst of his magic flows from him, this time hitting me. It knocks me down, and I hit my head on a piece of furniture.

"Kaitlyn!" Loki yells as he's by my side in an instant. "I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to." He tries to apologize, but I am to groggy to say anything. I'm in so much pain. It feels like fire inside of me. I hear Thor come in to the cell door. I don't look up or say anything, because I can't. I just let out a pained moan. "What have you done Loki?" Thor yells, as he picks me up bridal style and carries me out of the cell.

As Thor carries me away, I hear Loki before the cell door closes. "What HAVE I done?" He says faintly. Then the door shuts and Thor carries me to my room.
