Chapter 17

For three weeks the Founders have looked into every ancient book and scroll they had in their hidden library on an island not documented on a map. The world was changing to the point it will end completely if we didn't do something fast. Many lives were being lost and in some places, the world was crumbling. People panicked and looted. New Orleans looked like something out of a horror movie. The only thing that stood, as a beacon of hope, was Z's store.

I ran a hand through my hair and sighed. I was feeling drained. I hadn't fed properly since Z had left. My mother and Violet were gone trying to gather as many survivors of the five families and bring them here, while Jay and Jaden were with the other Founders. I was left here. I didn't know what to do. I was too tired to do anything really. I wanted to feed and fuck my mate senseless then sleep for nine thousand years.

There was a knock on the door and I got up to answer it. It was Vlad. I leaned in the doorway, arms crossed, "What brings your unwanted presence to my door?" He held up the large book Z overpriced to piss him off, "I was going through the book, and I may have found something to help turn back the effects." I stepped back to let him in.

I took him to the kitchen and we sat at the table. He turned the book to a page where a woman was illustrated on the page, "She is called the keeper of time." He turned the page where a summoning circle made of runes was drawn. "When summoned you can ask her to turn back time. However, if she doesn't like your reasoning, she will kill whoever summoned her. Time is a thing you don't mess with lightly, and only those who summon her will know that time was reversed if she says agrees."

I crossed my arms, "Why help?" "Because I am starving. Most of the humans here are gone, " he explained to me. "I'm not the only one either. Other vampires are becoming unstable." Which wasn't good. The last thing we needed was a vampire purge scenario.

"Let me get in contact with the others, " I told him. "Where are they, " He asked. "Researching, " I told him. I grabbed my phone and dialed Z. "Is something wrong, " he asked me. "A few things are wrong, but that's beside the point. Vlad is here with that book of runes you sold him. He thinks if we summon The Keeper of Time, we might be able to reverse time." I told him. "We're on our way, " he said, his voice sounding cold. He truly did not like Vlad.

Soon the house was filled with all of the Founders, except Jay. He appeared a few seconds later with mom and Violet. No one seemed happy Vlad was here. Z cupped my face, "You're pale." "It's been three weeks, " I told him. He nodded and ran his thumb over my bottom lip, "I hadn't realized." I kissed the pad of this thumb, "You can make it up to me later. Right now we have a summoning to do."

Z handled placing the runes while others watched, and waited. Once the circle was complete, it began to glow red. A woman with purple skin and black hair appeared. Her gold eyes scanned over the room, looking at us all. "What is your reason for wanting time to turn back, " She asked, her voice seductive and alluring. "The world is literally ending. Surely you can see that " I told her. "We want to turn back to the time before we were sucked into a tear. We lost five to six months because of that. The thing that sucked us in knew we could stop it, and it wanted us out of the picture."

She looked us over, "I have seen the future, and it is not good. I have seen the future of you not getting sucked in. It is good for humanity, but it will lead to many things you may not be ready for." We all agreed that we still wanted to turn it back. She snapped her fingers, "So be it."

Everything went black. When I woke up, I was laying in bed the morning we were sucked into the tear. "Now let's do what I originally planned that morning, " Z said before pulling me to him. I was cut off from saying anything as he kissed me. Hunger ignited in me and I buried my fingers in his hair. I felt his dick enter me and I moaned while arching my back. He bit into my marking, causing an orgasm to slam into me, my walls trying to milk his cock as he relentlessly pounded into me. He pulled back with a smile. My phone then went off like it did that morning. I used my magic to launch it into the wall, breaking it.

I then flipped us, taking over. I gave him a smile, ensuring he saw my fangs. He would now be my very willing victim for the next few hours.

We both laid in bed tangled in each other, covered in sweat. He cupped my face and kissed me softly. "This time I will get to celebrate your birthday, " he said with a smirk. "I think I'll put you in a swing to use as I please." I rolled my eyes, "How is that a present to me?" "Unending pleasure, " He told me. I laughed, "I get that now." He chuckled darkly, "You see my Queen, I still allow you able to walk afterward. On that night, you won't be able to. I plan on taking all of your holes." I bit my lip in excitement, "You can easily do that now." He kissed me again, "I plan too. But right now you need to eat something besides me."

I sighed and got up. I looked down and saw I was no longer wearing the necklace he had given me. I went over to my nightstand and saw Silver's knife was gone. "You seem disappointed, " Z said. "The time going back reversed any material objects being given to me. The necklace you gave me, as well as the sketchbook my mom gave me, and the knife Silver gave me. " I told him.

I watched as he went into his closet and pulled down an old looking box. He pulled out the necklace and put the box away. He came over to me and clasped it around my neck, "There you go." I smiled softly, "Thank you Zeviathan." The smile on his face made my heart skip a beat. He pulled me in for another kiss. I pulled away while smiling, "I have a knife to go get back."

I left the room and found Silver in the library, by himself. "I want my knife back, " I told him. He summoned it to his hand, "I was hoping you would come back for it." He stood and kisses my cheek as he handed it to me. "I would've come sooner, but Z was determined to make sure I didn't get sucked into a tear today." He chuckled, "I see."

"Thanks, Silver, " I then left the library with the knife in hand. As I walked I attached it to my belt. Now time to eat before getting started on figuring out what our next move is.
