I was bored. Everyone was doing something. Z was remodeling the shop since it has been tenish years since he opened the store. Jaden, Jay, and Drako were out shopping with my mother while Violet went hunting. My warriors were working their respected businesses from home so they can be here to protect me if the need arises. To be nice, I decided to stay home so they can work without interruptions. The rest of the Founders were out doing whatever it is they do when danger isn't showing its ugly head.

I laid on the couch in the library and stared up at the boring white ceiling. Most of the house had some form of ancient art or weapon on the wall, yet the library was bare. Only a few of the Founders really spent any time here, so it made sense why it wasn't as decorated. It would be really cool though if they had glass that allowed you to see the sky.

I was then hit with an amazing idea. I went to the room I shared with Z. I dug around in my closet until I found my art kit. I pouted when I saw I was out of most of my paints. I then pulled my phone out and texted Jaden what colors and kind of paint I wanted him to pick up since he was out. I then grabbed everything else that I needed. I went to the library and used my magic to move a couple of the shelves and tables. I laid down the tarp I always used when painting to protect part of the floor. I used my magic to levitate and got comfortable as I began to sketch on the ceiling in one corner of the room.

Z's POV

I got home a little after sundown. Alanna's mother came out of the kitchen wiping her hands on a rag, "Can you tell Allie dinner is ready?" I nodded and followed the bond to the library. I couldn't see her, but I smelled the paint. I looked around then was taken back when I saw her levitating while painting the corner of the ceiling. She had her earbuds in, her hair in a messy ponytail, a pair of purple sweat pants pushed up to her knees with smears of paint scattered here and there, and a black tank top. She was so relaxed, and at ease. She had painted part of the night sky. It was more than just black with tiny white dots like what you see when in the city. It was filled with stars and various colors like you see when the sky is free of light pollution. It was a sight I missed seeing regularly everywhere you went.

I gave her a psychic nudge and she turned to face me. Her smile widened and she took out her earbuds, "What do you think?" She lowered herself to the ground and sat her pallet on the table. "It's beautiful, " I replied. She looked up at it, "I know I didn't ask, but it's just that the rest of the house has a lot of art and such hanging around the house, and this room was so bland. Plus, I got bored." I tucked a strand she had missed when she put her hair up, behind her ear when she looked back at me, "You can paint wherever you like on whatever you like. It's your house." She shook her head, "It's our house." I took her hand, "Come on, dinner is ready."

We went to the dining room and I sat with a glass of scotch while she sat down with a plate filled with food. Her mother dipped the corner of her napkin into her water and wiped the paint off of Alanna's cheek. "I'm happy you're painting again honey, but please try to keep the mess to a minimum. I don't know how they would feel about finding random smears all over the place. I was always having to walk around with a damp rag."

Alanna rolled her eyes, "I'm not that bad." Her mother and brothers gave her a look that had Alanna shaking her head. We all became silent when Violet came in, blood running down her right arm, her lip split, and she was clearly exhausted. She held up a white card that had a red skull and black crossbones on it. "The Elders have deemed us traitors for not informing them we found the Founders, " She informed us. She looked at Alanna's mother. "Yuessif sends his regards."

"He cut you, " She said. Violet nodded, "I feel the poison already eating at my magic. I give it two days." Talos stood, "That should be enough time to make an antidote." Alanna stood up and began making her way to Violet, "There is no way to make an antidote. It's a curse type poison."

Curse type poisons are a poison infused with a special spell, created by the one who made the poison. It's special to the creator. Alanna then wiped away the blood. "The poison tracks are just in the arm, " she noted then dug her fangs into Violet's arm. Violet let out a scream of pain as Alanna began to suck out the poison and spit it out on to the floor. She continued to suck out the poison, but I and her warriors could feel the massive pain she was in while doing it. We can't be killed but we do feel pain.

When she pulled away she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, "There, all the poison should be out of your system." She was trying not to show the pain she was in by smiling. Violet swayed on her feet but Silver was quick to catch her. Her carried her out of the room and Alanna made it back to her chair. "Now you kids listen to me." Their mother said while looking at each of her kids. "If the Elders attacked Violet, it's possible, they are unaware that the three of you are Founders now. They will come after you with only a few Elders, but once they learn the truth, you'll have the full force knocking on your door."

Jaden scoffed, "They signed their death certificates when they attacked Violet." Jay nodded in agreement. In my opinion they signed their death certificates when the thought of targeting my mate crossed their minds. "We do not attack them," Alanna declared, "First we find out why they're doing this all of a sudden. They were already under the suspicion that we knew of the Founders. Why do something now? And why attack Violet first?" "She has a point. They could've sent your uncle to come after you three," Her mother said, "Instead they sent Yuesiff." "They have something else planned and I want to know what it is, " Alanna said. Drako nodded, "I and my shadows will look into it." "Be careful," Alanna told him. "The poison can't kill us, but this shit is excruciating." Axel nodded, "I'm surprised you're still conscious." The four of us could sense the amount of pain she was in. Even I would be struggling if I was her. "I've endured worse," She said with a shrug. "Now we need to stay on our guard. We can't let these bastards know we are on to them." She turned to look at her mother, "Do you have photos of all of the Elders?" She nodded, "I do." "We'll need them so they know who to be on the look out for. I have a feeling more than just Yuessif is here," Alanna told her. She wasn't the only one. Unfortunately, New Orleans was a big place so they could be hiding anywhere.
