Silver's POV

I walked through the house, many of the Founders now awake. Except Z. It's been six months and I know the Queen has grown restless as she waits for her mate to wake up. I had been out for four months, and when I woke up, I wasn't expecting for Violet to react the way she did when she saw me. She had practically thrown herself at me, crying. I welcomed it though. It was an emotion I had never seen from her before. It took me a week to regain my full strength and begin assisting in hunting down the last of the things from the Tears that got trapped here. In that time, it was hard to cover up the fact that more than humans exist, but somehow we managed to pull it off. For the most part everything has gone back to normal.

I stepped on to the porch where Jay was playing his guitar. It was something he had gone back to his house in Texas to retrieve. Jaden had one as well, but he doesn't play it as often. I looked out in the yard and became speechless when Violet appeared, her hair now a black to silver ombre, and it was short. She also had shopping bags in her hands, and her nails were done to black sparkling points. She lowered her sunglasses down to look at me, her black lips in a smirk. She wore black skinny jeans, a cropped red halter top that had a black Bring Me The Horizon symbol on it, and black combat boots. She stepped on to the porch, "Don't worry, I didn't use my money." She pulled my card out of her back pocket. She held it out to me. I shook my head, "Keep it."

She seemed hesitant at first before nodding and putting it back in her pocket. "So what do you think," she asked, seeming a little nervous. I curled a strand around my finger, "It's beautiful. I didn't think women did silver because it makes them appear older." "Well, almost everything you have is some shade of silver, and since I am yours, I thought it fitting," she said looking a little sheepish. I couldn't help the soft growl before throwing her over my shoulder and carried her inside. She had let out an unexpected squeak of surprise, but not a single protest.

We passed Axel and Talos on our way up their stairs. "If the Queen needs you, we'll tell her you're preoccupied for the rest of the evening," Axel said with a chuckled. "Thanks," I and Violet said to them in unison. Once in our room she dropped her shopping bags on the floor before I dropped her on the bed. I kissed her deeply, my mouth dominating hers.

I pulled away so we could both breathe. She cupped my face between her hands," I love you Silver. I know I haven't been the easiest to-" I cut her off with another kiss, resisting the urge to just shred off her clothes and show her just how I feel about her. "I love you Violet," I said when we parted. "You're perfect for me." We looked each other in the eye, our confessions heavy between us. Then the leash snapped and neither of us were gentle as we made love to each other.

We fucked for hours till we were both sweaty and panting. She laid on top of me, my cock still inside her, both of us too tired to move. I ran my hand up and down her spine lazily. "I realized my feelings for you the day we were attacked and I watched you get pierced. I hated myself for being too slow," I confessed to her. "I still do." "You shouldn't hate yourself," she said, placing a kiss to my chest. "I started to fall in love with you when you gave me your last name, but I didn't realize I was fully in love with you until we were thrown from the blast from the key. I wanted to get to you, but I couldn't move and I hated it."

We then fell in back into silence, simply enjoying each other's presence until sleep took us.

The next day, we went to meet up with her family. It was not something either of us were looking forward too. She wore red skinny jeans, a black tank top, and a black leather jacket. She let her hair keep it's natural messy curl that I loved. I leaned in the bathroom door and watched as she took her time doing her make up. When she was ready, I took a small ring box out of my pocket.

She looked at it with a raised eyebrow. Inside was a wedding ring with a black diamond in the center and smaller diamonds on the sides of it. I slipped it on to her finger before pulling her to me. I kissed her deeply and she moaned softly. She then slipped a ring onto my finger. I saw it was of a black metal. We then left in my car to make the travel to Café Du Monde longer. We saw her parents and sister sitting at a table outside. I pulled out her chair before sitting beside her. Her parents seemed thrown off by my presence.

"So what did you want to meet for," Violet asked them, not wasting time with introductions. "We wanted to apologize and admit we were wrong," her mother said. She had graying auburn hair and shared the same eyes with Violet and Violet's twin sister. "That's a fucking first," Violet scoffed with a smirk. She then looked at her sister, "What in the hell made you think that what the Elders said was true?" "They gave us this file of pictures and stuff," she answered. "It was filled with a ton of things regarding your movements, making it seem like they were telling the truth." Her father held out the file she was talking about. I took it and opened it. Violet looked at it and rolled her eyes. It truly did look like Violet had become power hungry and a traitor to their cause. A photo says a thousand words, but those words aren't always the truth.

"Okay, I guess they had shit that could be very convincing," Violet said while crossing her arms. "But seriously? A gun? I didn't think you had the spine for that shit." "They wanted us to torture you for information," Aqua confessed to her. "We didn't have the heart to torture you so we thought it best to try and just give you a quick and painless out." "At least you're merciful," Violet said with a shake of her head. "Not as merciful as you," her father said. "You could have so easily killed us, yet you didn't." He had a point. Violet doesn't have the heart to kill her family, because she does love them, and she always will. I am not so merciful however. If they continue to hurt my mate, then I will end them, then deal with her wrath later.

"Forgiving is going to take time," Violet said with a soft sigh. "After all, you did try to kill me." She then looked over to the counter, "I'm gonna go get some beignets, behave yourself." At the last part she looked at me and I couldn't help but smirk. I watched as she walked away.

"Tell me, does she make you sleep in a coffin," her sister asked me. I looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "A coffin?"

She nodded, "Back home, she slept in a coffin. You know that stereotype goth with the black walls, Ouija board, coffin for a bed, black every where really, and demonic stuff? That's Violet's room in a nut shell." "No we don't sleep in a coffin," I told her. "I didn't think she knew what a normal bed was," her mother said. "Let's stop talking shit about my coffin," Violet said as she returned. "It was perfect. I had the lid closed most of the way to keep out the sun so it was always dark." I had so many questions for my mate and I didn't know where to start.

Violet then gave introductions. As Violet ate her beignets I got to learn what younger her was like. It was rather interesting, but she didn't seem to think so. Once she was finished eating, we left. Once at the house we saw that Z had finally awaken. He was freshly showered and I could tell he recently hunted. He was holding his daughter with his mate by his side. Maybe now Alanna will finally get some rest. Hopefully shit can start going back to normal and we can actually enjoy ourselves for a century or two.
