Chapter 2

Raina POV

Kirstie and I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy for my birthday. When we left the theatre, there were tears in my eyes.

(Spoiler) "I can't believe he died!" I exclaimed. Kirstie nodded as we jumped into the car. I buckled my self in and Kirstie started driving. I remembered the surprise that Kirstie had mentioned earlier.

"So, Kirst? What's that surprise you mentioned before?" Kirstie smiled widely and answered.

"So, you know the band Pentatonix?" she asked me.

"Of course! PTX is AWESOME!! All of the singers are simply amazing!! One of them has your name, coincidentally. The girl. They are so cool! Why?"

"Well, we're going to go hang out with my friends Scott, Mitch, Avi and Kevin." Kirstie said, grinning so wide I thought her face would split. It took me a second to realize it.

"Oh my god, you're friends with Pentatonix?!" I squealed. Kirstie nodded. Then, I remembered something. "But what about Kirstie? The girl? Are you not friends with her?" I asked, puzzled.

"Well, you know that song you were listening to this morning?" Kirstie asked. I nodded, unsure of where this was going. "Well, see if you recognize this." Kirstie started singing the chorus of "La La Latch".

Covering my ears like a kid,

When your words mean nothing I go la la la.

Turning up the volume when you speak,

When my heart can't stop it,

I find a way to block it.

Kirstie's voice was beautiful! And it sounded like-

"Oh my god, you're Kirstie!!" I screamed. Excitement filled my body as I jumped up and down in my seat. "Why didn't you ever tell me?"

"Well, I never could find a good time to tell you. Alright, we're here."

We stopped in a driveway of a house I'd never seen before.

"This is Kevin's house," Kirstie said, reading my mind. "He had the biggest place, so your party will be here." I grinned at Kirstie as we walked in the door.

There they were. All of Pentatonix, right in front of my eyes. I nearly fainted. Kevin walked up to me and shook my hand.

"Hey, I'm Kevin. Nice to meet you. I've heard a lot about you. Your name's Raina, right?" I nodded.

"It's nice to meet you too! I've admired your beat boxing for years!" I smiled at him as Avi came up to me to introduce himself.

Kevin POV

Wow. Just-wow. Raina was beautiful. With her pretty black hair and hazel eyes that simply captivated me with one simple look. How could anyone be so pretty?

Raina startled me out of my thoughts.

"Kevin." I jumped and looked around.

"Yeah?"

"Could you tell me where the bathroom is?" I pointed Raina in the right direction and turned around to see my band members looking at me.

"What?" I asked, puzzled.

"Well, it's obvious, isn't it!" Avi said. "You totally like Raina!" I looked at the ground and my cheeks started burning.

"Ha! It's true, isn't it!" Kirstie exclaimed. I nodded a bit and all my friends came over and hugged me. They were unnaturally excited. They all settled down as Raina came back out of the bathroom.
