Their ship was huge, it was enormous. Much larger then any sort of fishing ship she'd ever seen before. Red wasn't very good when it came to telling what ship was meant for what. But what's she did know was that these people were men of the sea. Strong builds and rough exteriors, everything she was not.Every now and again someone would glance at her in strange curiosity.
"Mama." Anna interrupted.
"Yes my dear?" Her mother responded with a sigh.
"Why are they going on a ship? Where's the beast? What about the-"
Anna's mother tapped her child's nose in order to stop her ranting questions,"Breath Anna, and I'm not telling you. You have to wait like everyone else and just let me finish."
Anna pouted,"How much longer?"
Her mother chuckled,"We haven't even started my dear."
"I ain't gonna live foreve' Lassie." Rural started, Little Red was shocked, why would he say that? Raul seemed to notice the look on her face and said,"Ain't no sailor gonna' live foreve'. Is'a curse ya' see lassie. We're connected to the ocean ya' see."
Little Red nodded, unsure of what to say and instead focused on how only a few of the wooden boards that paved their path to who knows where on this boat creeks. Creaking, softly and with only a little noise,"Where are we going?"
"Da' Captain, I rekan he's otta' lot to say to ye' lassie." Raul patted Little Red on the back, a poor attempt at comfort but what can you expect from a pirate.
Once we made it to what she assumed was the front door of their captains office Raul knocked on the door three times.
Knock.
Knock.
Knock.
"Come in."
Raul opened the door with a grunt. Those hinges must've seen better days Little Red thought because they made a horrible rusty high pitch noise. But to say she was surprised to see what was inside would be an understatement.
Just opposite of her laid a dark wooden desk with a matching chair and window overlooking the ocean outside. And in said chair sat what Little Red thought was the captain; dark brown hair and tan faced, a beard that was in need to a cut and clothes that had seen better days and dark blue eyes that seemed to mimic the ocean itself.
"What ya' bring me boy." The man asked, his voice deep and thick, just like Ruals. Raul grunted in return and pushed Little Red forward with a gentle nudge. Her legs almost gave way and she swore she could actually feel his gaze on her. It frightened her and she wanted nothing more then to leave for some reason. Why thought? These People had helped her. If it weren't for them she'd still be wondering the woods; lost, dirty, hungry and tired.
"She was a wonderin' threw da' woods Captain." Rauls voice was gruff, just a rough and scary as the captains who's name still eludes me.
"What's your name?" His eyes started straight into me and Little Red debated looking down, so I did. I couldn't take his fiery gaze. It was too much.
"Annalise, Sir."
