I had been trying to ask Hiyori questions all day, but she had been shooting it down for the entire day. Now, I understand when she falls asleep, I can still see and communicate with her. Whenever I asked her a question, she would tell me she'll answer all of my questions after school. I knew she was going to uphold her promise to me, but I didn't want to wait.

Wait a second. Yori... He ... Yori... Hiyori. What the fucking flipping hell? How did I not see that earlier? Kofuku knew my best friend before I even knew what was going on with me. Things were starting to get more complicated by the moment. And it would be the most complicated point of my life. Not to mention all of the confusion that was going to end up swirling all around it.

When school let out that day, I was asleep. Asleep because we were taking a test, and I had been the first one to finish it. And during me being asleep, I had another dream. And it was one of those dreams where you don't remember anything when you wake up. But you have a strange striking feeling that you know exactly what is going on.

Like a gut feeling.

"So, where exactly are we going?" I asked her.

"To a friend's house." she replied.

So, you do know Kofuku and Daikoku, Hiyori.

"How do you know Kofuku and Daikoku?" Damn it! I thought out loud.

"They both of them helped me when no one else could." I told her careful to not reveal too much of my home life.

Despite the fact I considered us to be friends, she had no idea about my abusive step-mother and the precautions I took to make it so I live another day. The answer I gave to Hiyori was one of truth, but it was also one of secrets and mysteries. But when one of my questions was solved, she would get answers to only one question. Only one question, because my entire being could be considered a police case. A police investigation. And I couldn't let them have any part in it.

"So, you can see them? Well, obviously you can, because you can see me in this form. But why now? Why now do you suddenly acknowledge my presence? Unless you already knew and was waiting for the perfect time to tell me. However, the look on your face told a different story." Hiyori rambled one and on.

"Hiyori, I have no idea why I can see you now since what's happening to you has been going on for months. But something happened to me that made me now able to see you." I told her.

"Which is why Kofuku and Daikoku are going to give us the answers we rightfully need and deserve." Hiyori explained.

Did she know Yato? The one question I've been dying to ask her, but was too nervous, anxious, and scared to do anything about it. Should I just suddenly pop the question or wait until we get to the God of Poverty's residence? Could I muster enough confidence and courage to ask it?

"Do you know someone by the name of Yato?" I asked her unaware of the words flowing out of my mouth.

I guess that solves my problem. Hiyori stopped in her spot (and luckily we were on the sidewalk). She looked down at the ground unable to form any words. Well, I would think so since our atmosphere was consumed in silence. Did I say something wrong?

"Why? Why do you need to know?" she asked me after a few moments of eery silence.

"Because his name is the only thing constant within my dreams. Please, do you know who he is?" I asked her.

"What do you mean by dreams?" she questioned me.

"I get dreams where it's me, but in a different life. And they all lead up to my death. But why before death comes, I wake up. I don't know what it means, but it scares me, and Kofuku and Daikoku won't tell me what it means, but Yato is the only thing that pops up in every single one of them. But just his name. Never actually his face or anything." I explained.

"You have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from a past you have no memory of. Well, that's the least weirdest thing I've ever heard." Hiyori commented. "But why Yato specifically?"

"I don't know. I don't know anything, and I just want answers. I just want some stupid fucking answers or AARRGGHH!" I screamed out of frustration.

"What's with the frustrated scream, [N/N]?" Kofuku asked as we finally had arrived.

Hiyori and I walked in together, and I thought one of them was going to ask about us eventually. Because we knew one another before we knew the other knew about one another. Does that make sense? I don't know, and I honestly don't care. I sat down on a cushion facing Kofuku, Daikoku, and the blonde haired boy I met this morning. Hiyori followed my lead and sat down as well.

"Do you know something about my dreams, Kofuku? You know like something you've been keeping from me." I asked her, accusing her of something she may or may not have done.

"What ever do you mean, [N/N]?" Kofuku asked innocently.

'Daikoku, do you know?" Hiyori asked turning towards the large man. Once again following my lead.

"I know nothing." Daikoku said clearly lying.

I turned to the blonde haired boy named Yukine. "Can I have a sketch pad and a pencil please?"

Yukine handed me what I asked for, and I began drawing. I was drawing the most vivid thing that was in my mind. The moment where I jumped from a building over sixteen years ago. I knew it was sixteen years, but how could it be? How could I have jumped off a building at the age of nineteen sixteen years ago when I'm only a few months away from becoming seventeen?

"Then, how do you explain this?" I asked showing them my drawing when I was finished.

"What is that?" Kofuku asked still playing innocent.

"It's me! Sixteen years ago at the age of nineteen, I, supposedly, jumped off a building in a form of suicide because apparently if I didn't someone was going to kill a little sister I never had! But how is that possible when I'm almost seventeen years old sixteen years after this! So, do you know anything? Please. I just want some answers about my dreams." I exclaimed.

"I do know why, but it isn't my place to tell you who or what you are." Kofuku told me.

I think that was the msot honest thing she has ever said to me. What the flipping hell? What kind of stupid mind trick are you playing at, Kofuku? I just want honest answers. I sure hope you don't think I'm buying this "I'm not the right person to tell you" shit.

"Then, who is?" I asked.

The door opened, and a new voice came into the conversation. "Yukine, you left me!"

A man with dark blue-ish purple-ish hair with ice blue eyes and wearing a tracksuit walked into the hut/ cottage (that acted as a shrine).

"We got a job to clean out toilets! I didn't want to stick my arm in to declog a single toilet! Or any for that matter!" Yukine argued back.

"Well, you shouldn't have -." the man's eyes darted over to me.

I saw a look of recognition flash through them before the man with the enchanting ice blue eyes bolted out of there. Out of sight. Out of the shrine. Out of the conversation he himself stumbled into.

"That was Yato. He's the person you need to talk to." Daikoku answered my question.

The name in my dream belonged to a guy that wore a tracksuit. How uncool or super lame could you possibly get?
