About a day later we finally arrive at Pewter city. It's starting to get cold, ugh. The gang and I find a pokemon center, and rest there, since it's late when we arrive.

Next day
I wake up pretty early, I couldn't sleep. I yawn and stretch and just kind of lay there for a minute, since for a second I forgot I wasn't in my own bed. Ash is feeding his pokemon. Well I guess he couldn't sleep either. "Good morning babe." I say, slowly getting out of bed. He looks at me and grins, causing me to blush. I walk to the little cafeteria thingy and grab some breakfast for us two. "Hey Val, so what's your strategy for the battle?" "Oh shit, I forgot...." The entire idea slipped my mind. "Ummm, I was just gonna use mew and hope for the best.."NO! Don't use mew, it's too easy." "Well sorry, but easy is nice." Too bad, but anyway, I don't think Finn is gonna help in this situation. Remember? Brock is a rock type trainer. You're screwed unless you train up Riolu, and Belle." "Hmmm Ash, I think you're right. Okay so let's go train."
~6 hours later~
"Phew, ok guys, you have gotten at least three times better. WE ARE READY FOR BROCK!" They all cry and I return them to their pokeballs. "Val, you ready?" "Yea... I think so." I say reluctantly, Ash walks over to me and grabs my hand, intertwining his with mine, and we walk to the gym, to meet up with everyone else.
We get to the gym and walk inside. We immediately see Brock and Misty talking to each other. We walk over to them. "Hey guys!" Ash says, giving them a wave. "Oh hey guys, how was training, do anything kinky if YA know what I mean..." Misty says, wiggling her eyebrow. "Uhhhh, no, and EWE. But it was fun... Should we get started?" I say, my face red as a fire truck. "Sure, let's go!" Brock exclaims, and he starts running.
"Okay the battle between trainer Vallery, and gym leader Brock is now in session. Each person is allowed to use 3 pokemon. Only the challenger can make substitutes. The person who's pokemon faint first, looses. Are you both ready?" Misty says eyeing Brock and I.
"Ready." I say, my heart pounding in my throat.
"Ready." Brock says. He looks confident.. Oh no."
"GO!" Misty yells.
"GO! Belle!"
"GO!" Onix!" Okay... Starting out with something big, got it.
"Okay Brock, make the first move!" "Fine Val, you asked for it! Onix, rock slide!"
"Belle! Use vine whip to whack the rocks back at onix!" Belle flings back every rock thrown at her, hitting onix with some of them. Onix looks hurt a bit, but not enough. "Okay Belle, use solar beam!" Belle charges up.
"Quick onix, use tackle before she can use it!" Onix starts to slither over to Belle, just before he hits her, belle lets out a huge beam of light from the stem on her back. It forces Onix back up against the wall. When the move is over, Onix is fainted. "YES! GO BELLE WE DID IT!" "Oh believe me Val, it's just getting started. GO! Crobat!" Brock sends Crobat out and he soars into the sky. "Okay Crobat, use cut!" Crobat swoops down and strikes Belle with force, causing Belle to get hurt bad. Wow that pokemon is fast. I gasp. Finally Belle gets up. "Okay belle, try to grab Crobat, use vine whip!" Belle grabs ahold of Crobat and smacks him against the ground. Crobat still gets up though. "Okay, use super sonic!" It hits, causing Belle to faint. I pick Belle up, and return her. "Good job baby girl, you did good." What am I gonna do? I can't use riolu, or mew... Wait, Crobat is a flying type. I got it!
"Okay, Finn, go!" I send out Finn. "Hmmm, I was hoping you wouldn't do that... Anyway, Crobat, use cut!" "Finn quick, when Crobat dives, use crunch! It swoops down, and sure enough, Finn uses crunch, causing Crobat to fall to the ground, barely getting up. "Okay Finn, finish this! Use thunderbolt. "Jolt.... Jolt... JOLTEON!" Finn's body erupts in a giant glistening bolt of light, having a direct hit on Crobat. He faints, falling to the ground. "Good job Val, but it's not over yet, I have one more pokemon. GO! Geodude!"
Oh no. Everyone says his Geodude is really good. "Okay Finn, return. GO! Riolu!" I send riolu out. The two eye eachother. "Okay Geodude! Use smack down!" Geodude comes right for riolu, and it hits. Hard. Riolu gets up, but it's obvious he's hurt. "It's okay riolu, use brick break!" He lands a direct hit, and since fighting is super effective against rock.. It did some serious damage. All of a sudden white orbs collect around riolu. "What?" I say, just staring as an explosion of light happens, and when it clears, a lucario is in the place of riolu. "No... Way... OKAY! Well, lucario, ready to continue?" I say, a huge grin on my face. He nods, and uses power up punch, a new move! It hits Geodude, and he fainted.
"Geodude is unable to battle, which means the winner of the Pewter City gym battle is challenger Vallery!" I jump up and down, giggling and crying. I hug lucario and pet his head. "Thanks lucario, I couldn't have done it without you." Ash, Misty, and Brock come over. Brock hands me my badge and I put it in my case. I hug everyone, we gather our things, and we set off, finding a new place to camp along the way.
AN: holy shit this story is probably gonna have 400 reads in the next day or so, and can I just say THANK YOU! I'm so sorry I haven't been uploading a lot, to be honest I've just haven't been motivated enough to, I will try to though!! So thanks for all of the support ❤️❤️
