Chapter 5: A New Member

~next day bc I couldn't think of anything else to write~

I wake up to find Finn sleeping under my arm. I remember yesterday. After the whole discussion about the gym, everyone was battling with each other. It was really fun! Then I remembered that today is the day I'm going to travel to Cerulean City.. To battle misty..

"YAY!" I scream, waking Finn up in the process. I race out of my tent and wake the others up. We stayed up pretty late last night, so I can understand why they're all still sleeping. Ash is the last to get out of bed, and I can tell he's not in the best mood.

"Finally you're up." Misty snaps.

"Oh why don't you just can it ginger." I just start laughing, earning a death glare from misty.

"Watch it Val, or I won't battle you." I stick my tongue out at her and begin eating a granola bar.

"No famous rice cakes today Brock?"

"Nah, I'm too tired, maybe for dinner." And with that he gets up and feeds his onix.

"So what we're you guys doing before you came to Kanto? I see a lot of unfamiliar pokemon with you ash, so I assume you were somewhere else."

"Yea, I actually just came back from the Kalos region. I caught up with these two, and now we're traveling together again." I give a nod and continue eating.

After we're done we pack up our stuff and continue walking. After a few hours we decide to eat lunch. But I wanted to go explore.

"Hey ash!"

"What Val?" He says between chews.

"Come exploring with me. I didn't bring these 10 pokeballs for nothing."

"Yea sure hold on." We make our way into the dense woods. All I can see is trees. We keep on walking, and soon enough, I see a pokemon!

"Ash look!" I say, pointing to the figure in the woods.

"It's a Bulbasaur! I used to have one of those, but he's with professor oak. You should catch it."

"Okay here I go!" I throw a pokeball.

"Your supposed to battle it first." Ash says while face palming.

"Well excuse me." After the ball hits the Bulbasaur, it escapes.

"Well Bulbasaur, time to Battle. GO, Finn!" I point and Finn runs to the Bulbasaur. Using thunderbolt.

"Wait boy, I make the calls here. She looks hurt though, so good job! Okay Finn, use electro ball!" It hits. The pokemon is almost fainted.

"Val, throw the ball!" I chuck the pokeball at the Bulbasaur. It shakes. I count. 1. 2. 3. I hear a ding, meaning that the Pokemon is mine. I start jumping up and down, I run over to ash and hug him. He hugs me back. He whispers in my ear. "Good job Val, that was fun." I look up at him. Our eyes meet and we gaze at each other for a while. He leans in.

Oh hell no.

I stop hugging him. He ruffles his hair. "Well, we should get back now!" I say, trying to make this less awkward than it already is.

"Yea, let's go." Ash says while sighing. We run out of the forest.

I let my Bulbasaur out, and everyone comes running over.

"Wow, way to go Val!" Says Brock. I give him a smile.

"Her name is Belle." I just decided this. It suits her well. "Hey belle, how about coming on a journey with me?" "Bullllllbaaaa!" She yells. I start chuckling, and tearing up. It's my first caught pokemon. My dad gave me Finn as an egg, so he doesn't really count. I hug her, and then retrieve her. I smile at everyone. "Well, don't just stand there, let's keep going!" I yell. Everyone smiles and we pack up, continuing our journey.

AN: OKAY I TRIED TO ADD SOME SORT OF ROMANCE SO I HOPE YOU GOT AS MUCH FEELS AS I DID!!
