Walbur, a city in the flourishing country of Neaucape, was known for its vegetation, people, and for an admirable animal The Wallaby. The town got its name after this exuberant animal. It's abundance to be blamed.
It was the unofficial capital of Neaucape, though no one ever addressed it. People were not ready to deem it as a capital. There were reasons.
The indisputable capital of Neaucape was Fearos. Names of major cities sought inspiration from something. Fearos was an inspirational & a notable city for the people of Neaucape. The country of Neaucape was not gigantic. It was a small country with six-seven cities in it. Walbur and Fearos being the major ones.
A warrior of Turnet, a country east of Neaucape, found the land of Neaucape, she was dejected by the ruthless, unjust laws of Turnet & the conservative outlook of its people. She set off to live on some other radical & promising land but, wherever she went, she saw people are a reflection of each other.
She decided to live in a place free from any form of government. She found Neaucape, which then was just land, stretching a few kilometres wide. Years and legacies passed on. Neaucape became a major country. The patch of land expanded immensely, it was then called Fearos. The She fearlessly expanded the place without thinking of other people's criticism, hence Fearos.
Neaucape was ruled by the army with virtuous and upright laws. Fearos was the headquarters of the army. People worshipped Fearos, deeming it as a holy place.
Things weren't as simple as they seemed. Fearos had people who were deeply embedded in the worship of The She. The warrior was called The She. People believed that The Lordess would make their lives blossom with wealth & amenities. They didn't realise that hard work would earn them a better life and not worshipping her. They weren't in the wrong to worship a deity, they had every right to follow the righteous & strong woman. Well, God's are meant to be followed. But, what they did not do right was that they heavily relied on prayers and hope. They did not do any work and hoped for things to turn out well.
As a result, Fearos, though being the capital, couldn't generate abundant resources for Neaucape. Walbur, on the other hand, had hard working people, they produced most of Neaucape's resources.
The question may arise, why does Neaucape has an army, in Fearos, if they have so much faith in the Lordess, The She? Well, no matter how much an individual prays to a deity, in the time of War with some other country they do need an army to protect Her land. Neaucape might have an army, but the artillery is not updated. They haven't been in a War for many decades. They were not so vigilant now. They are pretty relaxed in terms of a fight. They believe The She is preventing all the War's from above and she won't let one happen but still, they had an army.
Walbur never worshipped The She much. They found the true path for a peaceful life, in terms of monetary standards. Fearos used to just import resources form Walbur. Other cities of Neaucape, produced their own resources and manufactured to different places. All was well among the cities of Neaucape, except the two vital cities, Fearos and Walbur.
