The Scheme

General Vaughan was hugely praised for his decision of excluding Walbur from Neaucape. The Army and the people's respect for General Vaughan intensified, they felt that he was the true leader of Fearos and Neaucape, selected by The She. The other cities of Neaucape weren't of different ideologies, they too applauded Fearos.

The incident in Fearos made the General introspect about the country's artillery. He gave a good deal of thought to it and came to the inference that Mr Hayden may be wrong about the strength of people's devotion to a God, but Mr Davis wasn't and the least we could do for the Lordess' land is to make it stronger by weapons. He summoned the chief armourer of Military Arms Division.

The General said, "Mr Goch, rebuild the arsenal and get me new designs and modernize them, though we aren't having any fights now or in the future, nevertheless I want our weapons to be intimidating and strong, do it as soon as possible". Mr Goch replied, "General, I think the members got in your head, they weren't wrong entirely. I'll have them made in a wink, still, that wink might take a month or two".

The Brothers went back to Turnet. Promptly, they went to meet Queen Alba Tarquinius of Turnet. Wade said, "Your Majesty, we were successful in making Walbur join us". A gentleman in the Monarch's court asked, "Why did you send them to make Walbur join us? I don't get the reason for it". The Queen replied, "You should be definitely awarded for your bravery, to carry such a brain and mind in the public, is valour". Everyone in the court chuckled. Queen Tarquinis added, "It's simple, Walbur has more resources than most of our cities, they will help us make more efficient weapons with their machinery, also, they have a good amount of grain production.

The Monarch added, "They also know the inside of Neaucape, the maps, the entries, the exits, so infiltration and capture of Neaucape will be unproblematic".

A few moments later, a truck arrives on the court's gate, two people get off, Larry and Davis. They walk inside the court and greet their Ladyship. They get to know the intentions of Turnet from the Majesty herself. They present the map of Neaucape to her and the Army General. They devised a plan. Except for Fearos, no other city has an army. Army of Fearos is the Army of the country. Larry and Davis weren't aware of Neaucape's artillery's upgrade. They told them the Army is outdated.

Her Ladyship told them the strategy. According to it, Turnet will send less but highly competent soldiers to Neaucape. They will make a caravan resembling the trade caravans in Neaucape and will make a shallow compartment where the men will hide. There will be four of these trucks, each having five men. Four hidden and one manoeuvring the caravan. When they reach the Army of Fearos' headquarters, they will jump out of the vehicles and will kill the General, thus capturing Fearos & Neaucape.

Twenty competent men, going to capture Fearos seemed an easy job, but Fearos took Davis' criticism seriously. They had planned to attack Fearos after a month, on The Holy Sancus' birth date.

The plan was simple but clichéd, still, it works almost every time. Turnet thought, Fearos will not be expecting such an event and thus the security will be cold, as usual. But, something was in stock for Turnet too.
