After the devastating decision taken by Fearos, people of Walbur were stunned. They were now concerned about the city's future and survival. Walbur was now isolated. It had no protection, no government, and most importantly limited resources. People were now slightly enraged with the City Office. They did not expect this.
Davis was talking to the members of the council in the City Office, he said, "I don't think our resources will last much longer, we only have stock for about 4 months. We have to make a trade with someone, from somewhere or else starving is the only option". One gentleman said, "Sir, we can covertly carry out trade with other cities, Fearos will not know". Davis replied, "No we can't do that, Fearos has made strict rules about this verdict and moreover Mr Hayden hurt their sentiments for the Lordess, so in a way each and every city is furious with us, so the option of trade with them is highly improbable".
Larry had panic attacks every day, he felt responsible for the city's downfall, but he wasn't ready to apologize because, if he did and in some rare circumstance Fearos accepts the apology, the trade problems will get worse and Larry didn't want to face all that torture again. It's done. He was blank and couldn't think of any scheme of survival.
6 months later.
Sixteen deaths, due to starvation. Walbur was trying really hard to conserve its food grains, water and other stuff. People even went on fasts to save food for their families, but in the end, a human body needs nutrition and food to work well. The gates of Walbur had not been open since. People weren't ready to perish but they had no other way.
One day, there was a bang on the Walbur's gate. The guards opened the gate with much effort. The door was rusted and was jammed. A car with two men entered. They drove straight to the City Office. They went inside. Larry and Davis were sitting there with pale faces. They lost a lot of mass and were weak, so were other people. They tried to execute every plan of theirs but failed, in the end, they lost hope.
The two gentlemen were brothers, Mr Francis Taylor and Mr Wade Taylor. They sat in the chairs opposite Larry and Davis. Larry, in a confused tone, said, "Whoa! Who are you two and how did you get in and how did the guard allow you?". Davis calmed Larry down. The Brothers smiled at each other. Wade said, "Well, consider us as your saviours, we know about your condition and what caused it. We aren't just God's angels, we come with a price, which you will pay later".
Davis and Larry were blank. Davis said," Let me stop you right there. You two just come here in Walbur to rescue us and for a price and say some shit, wait who are you and who sent you or you two operate independently?". Both Wade and Francis smirked.
Francis replied, "We don't operate independently. We are your only hope to save your city and get back on track, so it would be very wise of the City Office to join us and follow our instructions". Larry and Davis were still dumbfounded. Larry said, "You said you don't independently, where are you two from?".
Wade & Francis got up and began to leave the City Office. Larry asked them again.
Both of them said at once, "Turnet".
