Soobin tapped his foot impatiently as he held up his phone to his ear, waiting for her to pick up.

He furrowed his eyebrows out of worry about her being kidnapped or something but it was unlikely to happen in this peaceful city.

He opened his chats and saw no texts from her or whatsoever.

He eventually stopped his attempt to call her and started to actually look for her from room to room. He walked with a dread of wanting to see her as soon as possible as he began to feel more concerned.

He suddenly remembered his encounter with Yeonjun the day before. He suddenly felt so stupid and he thought he must've looked like a jealous moron.

An idea suddenly pops up in his head; maybe she's tutoring Yeonjun right now.

He first when to the library but found no one but the librarian, so he headed to the gym.

"Soobin-" Ryujin called him but he missed it.

Ryujin followed his steps and the realization fell on her when Soobin was heading to the gym's direction.

Ryujin ran after him and tried to stop him, but it was too late.

Soobin stopped at the entrance when he saw her laughing along with Yeonjun on the benches.

Her wide smile being completely exposed to some other guy that wasn't him, sent a pang of hurt to his chest. He was being childish but he'd be lying if he said it didn't hurt.

"Soobin.." Ryujin called while trying to catch her breath.

Soobin continued to stare the girl he had fallen in love with and another guy who were oblivious to the fact that he was staring at them from the distance.

He backed away from the entrance and leaned onto the nearby wall. Ryujin walked closer to him, carefully not to make him more upset than he already was.

"Soobin-" she tried.

"Don't. I- no.. please don't say anything."

They were just friends. But why did it hurt so much?

Yeonjun was nothing to her, she couldnt fall for him.. right?

He was her best friend since they were children, he got a bigger chance with her than other random guy.. right?

Ryujin looked at Soobin worriedly as none of them say a thing to each other.

"By the way, umm, Y/N," Yeonjun called. "Umm, do you uhh, like, umm... Soobin?"

Soobin's ears perked up at the mention of his name. He was getting irritated after Yeonjun suddenly asked that kind of question but he couldn't help but let his heart race.

It was silence for a moment and Soobin was dreading to know what was happening but he didn't want to see them two together.

"Yes?" she answered after the silence, sounding slightly confused. "Of course I like him."

Soobin's heart skipped a beat.

"He's my best friend!"

He been knew about that. He just didn't have to hear it from her directly.

He knew, from the beginning.

"Soobin," Ryujin tried again. Soobin looked up from the ground to her with a lifeless expression on his face.

They stared at each other for a few seconds before he looked away, frowning and walked away.

She called and followed after him.

"Soobin, hear me out just for this time!" she grabbed his forearm, stopping him.

"What do you want?" Soobin asked flatly.

Ryujin stayed silent, suddenly not knowing what to say when earlier she had so much to say.

"See? You don't even know what you're wanting to say," he rolled his eyes.

"Soobin, can you just stop being so rude to me?!"

Soobin sighed, after realizing what was he doing being rude to Ryujin the whole time, "Sorry.."

"It's okay, Soobin, but-"

Ryujin was cut off when a series of footsteps were coming closer to them.

"Oh, Ryujin, Soobin!"

Soobin looked away from Ryujin, "Y/N."

"Oh, I forgot to tell you earlier that I got something to do! I'm sorry Soobin! Glad you weren't all panicking looking for me!" she looked at him guiltily.

"And Ryujin! Why didn't you tell him!?" she protested jokingly while chuckling, although none of them laughed or even smiling. Her chuckling turned into an awkward laugh. "Guys?"

Soobin turned around and walked away, "Sorry, Y/N, I got something to do."

"Oh! Uhh, okay, good luck!" she answered, confused.
