She'd done packing for the school trip and all she just needed to do was just to wait for Yeonjun to pick her up. She would tell Yeonjun to come in the morning so that Soobin wouldn't come and pick her up. But she thought it was kinda rude, so she just kept quiet.

She looked at the photo frame of her and Soobin on her desk that she just remembered she had it framed. Yes, she framed a graduation photo of them together. She didn't realize the tenderness of Soobin's eyes when he gazed at her like that, with a smile so wide that she.. was speechless?

Recalling the kiss from last week made her heart pound as much as the time when he actually kissed her. When she didn't know what to do beside to just stay still until he parted because she wouldn't reciprocate.

He pulled her closer when the both of them didn't say a word. But then she pushed him away as she frowned. A hurt flashed in his eyes but she didn't realize. "I think you should leave... Soobin."

He let go and slowly walked out of her room and brought himself finally out of her house. A small tear slipped out of his eye but he wiped it away before anyone could see it.

A ping from her phone made her broke out of her reverie. She wiped her own tear that she didn't even realize it was there.

She hastily gathered up her things and walked out of her room, but not without one more glance at the framed photo sitting on her desk.

She shrugged it off and finally rushed to the door and found Yeonjun in a car. He was looking out of the window and grinned when he saw her. He got out to open the passenger door for her to enter.

"You don't have to do that," she frowned but couldn't help but laugh afterwards.

"Only for my princess," Yeonjun muttered, loud enough for her to hear though.

Her eyes widened and she could feel herself blushing from his words but she pretended not to hear it and got in the car.

A few seconds later, Yeonjun got in and smiled, "Ready?"

"Ready.. what?"

"Uhh, nevermind?"

They laughed.

--

From across the room, she could feel Soobin was trying to catch her eyes, but she wouldn't look in his direction.

Soobin was fidgeting and debating if he should come over or not, because it was obvious she didn't want any kind of interaction or whatsoever. Or at least, not with him. Because she was clearly laughing at whatever Yeonjun was saying.

The words 'best friend', flooded his mind once more, the longer he stared at the two of them.

He gathered up the courage to walk up to her but Ryujin had already got to it first.

"Y/N! Sit with me!" Ryujin screeched as she clung onto her arm.

Soobin stopped and slowly walked back into his group of friends, oblivious to the fact she was staring almost sadly at his back walking away from her sight.

Yeonjun noticed this so he tapped on her shoulder one time so she would face him.

She looked up at him, "What?"

"Nothing," he grinned.

She gave him a weird look but laughed anyway.

Kai and Ryujin who were seeing the situation unfolded, had no idea what to do or even say. They looked at each other awkwardly before backing up slowly.

Kai and Ryujin sighed at the same time when they finally got away from there.

"Hey, don't you think your friend, right there, falls in love too quickly?" Ryujin grumbled.

"Yeonjun?" Kai snickered. "You have no idea!"

"But he was never like this before! He never showed any interest in girls, I even thought he was gay!" Kai continued.

"Our pals are doomed, man!" Ryujin laughed along with Kai.

--

On the train, Yeonjun actually sat beside her. With Kai and fuming Ryujin in front of the both of them.

"I was supposed to sit there!" Ryujin shouted, making everyone on the train turned to look at her, but she just glared at everyone, "What?!"

Then all of them went back to whatever they were doing.

Kai took a hold of one of Ryujin's shoulder and pulled her back onto her seat and patted her back, "It's okay, it seemed like we were destinied to be together."

"Ew, what?"

"What? I'm pretty damn handsome too, you know, like Soobin," Kai joked.

But it clearly steered an awkward silence between them.

Ryujin slapped Kai's shoulder as she frowned at him, making him hissed in pain.

"Sorry! It just slipped!" Kai whispered to Ryujin.

Soobin was a few rows away from them, so he couldn't hear them clearly, but he could see the change in her expression.

Soobin and Yeonjun made an eyecontact later and they glared at each other for a moment.

Soobin was the first one to break away because he didn't want her to mistaken the glare. He didn't want her to think he was glaring at her. He didn't want to think he was bad...

He wanted to take back all the words he said last week. If he could, he'd probably be the one who was sitting beside her right now instead of Yeonjun.
