Soobin was getting more and more desperate and she wasn't making it any easy for him, nor her.

He sighed as he wiped the tear off of his cheek and began to walk away-

"Soobin!"

Soobin stopped in his track, immediately turning around to see her, looking in his direction, "Y-Y/N."

He almost cried there and then but he slowly stepped forward as she also walked closer to him.

"Y/N," his voice was shaking when he muttered her name under his breath, not believing that she actually came. "I.. hey."

"S-Soobin, you said y-you wanted to talk, so I came, I guess?" she fumbled with her words, not used to the sudden proximity after being apart for a bit too long.

"Y-yeah! I have a lot to say, actually.." he mumbled. "But now that you're here, I don't know what to say.."

He chuckled nervously.

They stared at each other, drinking each other in without even realizing it. But he broke both of their trance with a fake cough and furrowed his eyebrows as he started to speak.

"Y/N.. I.." his voice started to waver again, and he couldn't help the tears slowly trickled down his face. "These past few days had been so difficult for me."

She wanted to say that it was also hard for her too, but she didn't trust her voice.

"I know you don't feel the same as me," he stepped closer, closing the distance between the two of them. "But I don't want to lose you."

He pulled her into his arms and sobbed into her shoulder.

"I wanted to be more than just friends..," he muttered, choking on air. "but I realized I won't have that with you, so would you please stop avoiding me and accept me as your best friend again?"

He plead as he pulled away but still holding her in his arms. She nodded and finally reciprocate the hug. He sighed into her neck and he never felt more relieved before.

They pulled away and both of them stared at each other before breaking into laughters like they always did before.

Soobin thought that maybe their friendship really would last forever afterall.
