Part 13 - Aftermath

???: Hello?

You were currently on the phone in an area for students to call anyone from across the dimensions, at the moment you were about to have a conversation with your father.

(Y/N): E-erm... Hey, dad...

Dad: (Y/N)! So good to hear your voice! It's been a while since our last call!

(Y/N): Yeah, I was a little busy at the time so I couldn't really make any calls.

Dad: No worries there son! I'm glad you're keeping busy! How are things going with your friends? Oh! I've been meaning to ask, how's your cousin Luci? My uncle called the other day! He wanted to know how you were doing since he hasn't spoke to his grand daughter since she left for Youkai Academy!

(Y/N): We're doing fine... There was actually something I need to talk to you about...

Dad: Sure!

(Y/N): I uh... It happened, I've activated my Devil Trigger...

Dad: Well that's great son...! Is something wrong?

(Y/N): It wasn't exactly the way you thought it would happen...

Dad: *sigh* Did you get in a fight?

(Y/N): Ummm...? Fights?

Dad: That was expected.... Can't say I blame you.

(Y/N): Wait what? Serious?! Just like that?

Dad: What? That's how I activated my Devil Trigger, got into a one huge fight with some punks that were trying to beat me down to get your mother. *Chuckle* They were in for one hell of a surprise when I kicked the crap out of them.

(Y/N): ... Wow... So it was bound to happen like this... Wait so you were willing to send me out here knowing what would happen?!

Dad: Believe me... I didn't want to send you there in the first place knowing that things have gotten worse ever since your mother and I graduated... Even the Headmaster is unable to interfere with certain affairs so there are times that he has to leave it to the students... Especially with the Public Safety Commission quickly falling to corruption...

You sighed in relief knowing that your father wasn't disappointed in your current state, although you felt the urge to throw a punch the next time you see him. However, you simply grinned before you began to explain the results of your awakening.

(Y/N): The Public Safety Commission huh... Guess I should tell you about what happened to them!

Dad: ... What did you do, son?!

Small Timeskip

(Y/N): Hey, that look kind of suits you!

You were currently referring to the club president as he practically resembled a mummy with the amount of bandages on his face. In fact, you noticed that he was still slightly shaking from the pain of being burned by the leader of the Public Safety Commission.

Gin: Shut it... Where is everyone?

You looked around to find nobody present in the club room, due to injuries as well as attending to each other's emotional recovery.

(Y/N); Hmm, Moka is staying with Tsukune until he finally wakes up, Kurumu and Yukari are trying their best to soothe Snow's thoughts and... Oh, Luci is still in the school hospital for the amount of injuries she received since they never healed from her torture.

Gin: I see... *Sigh* In all.honesty, I could care less if anyone shows up today... I'm just glad it's finally over...

(Y/N): The others told me about what happened to last year's Newspaper Club. Never knew that you were trying to protect us the minute the black suits arrived. As... Wierdly perverted as you usually are, I'm glad that you only wanted to look out for us.

The werewolf couldn't help but lightly smile from your words as you slowly stood from your seat.

(Y/N): Well, since club isn't exactly in session... I may as well go check on the others, try not to work too much on everyone's behalf.

You then exited the club room to find the same red haired teen that you helped you during the previous battle.

(Y/N): So, what's your plan now?

Deshiko: The Headmaster offered for me to remain in this school, so long as I confess the crimes of the Public Safety Commission... The others were swiftly exiled from Youkai Academy.

(Y/N): *sigh of relief* Good to know that we won't be seeing them for a while.

Deshiko: ... How are the others doing?

(Y/N): As of now, Luci is in the school hospital until she's able to get back onto her feet. Snow.... Well, it took some convincing but I managed to stop her from withdrawing from the school... Right now, best you can do is worry about yourself out here.

Deshiko: ... I see...

(Y/N): Chin up, you could always join the Newspaper Club if you don't think you have anywhere else to go!

Small Timeskip

Moka: (Y/N)!

You were currently on the way back to your room only to hear the sound of Moka calling you. Once you turned to the source, you found the pink haired vampire waking towards you.

(Y/N): What's up? He awake yet?

Moka: No, I'm here because I need someone to watch over him while I shop for dinner. *Stomach growls* I haven't eaten anything all day so can you watch over him, in case he wakes up? Please?

(Y/N): *small laughter* Sure, I'll keep an eye on him.

Moka: Thank you, (Y/N)! I'll be sure to bring you back something!

Just as the girl quickly ran towards a different direction, while you walked towards Tsukune's room with a devious smile.

Thirty Minutes Later

The room was quite dark as Tsukune Aono slowly awakened to find himself on his bed. He was quite comfortable however, his body ached from pain as he began to slowly move. At the same time, he noticed that the room was quite dim as lit candles circled his bed. His eyes widened when he there were red markings on the floor that were in the shape of some form of star and a cloaked figure approached.

???: Now, it's time to begin the ritual...!

A red stained knife appeared in the figure's hand as it slowly approached with the blade extended outward.

Tsukune: AAAAAAAAAAARRGHHHH!!!! I'M LEAVING!!!

The brown haired teen screamed at the top of his lungs before immediately running out the door while still wearing bandages. Meanwhile, the cloaked figure laughed as he slowly removed the hood to reveal yourself.

(Y/N): *snicker* Poor guy.

Meanwhile

In the nearby forest, a spark of lightning quickly struck the ground as a storm suddenly approached the school. A demonic knight in black armor revealed itself from the lightning strike as a black horse was summoned by it's side.

???: Sparda....!

A/N: Alright, I just want to get this cleared out but I will be taking a break from this story until I finish my other ongoing story, Zero Promises. I felt as though I didn't exactly say it before going on a small hiatus so i made this chapter to inform everyone of you. Zero Promises is approaching it's end so it won't be long until I properly continue this story.
