You peeked your he's through a set of large double doors that led towards the Headmaster's office. It was quite ominous as the room's only lighting was the little sunlight that crept through the curtains.
???: Welcome, (Y/N).
You entered the room to find a man in white robes and glowing eyes sitting in a desk. The sight of the person was quite unsettling as you felt the amount of power that was hidden within him.

(Y/N): *in thought* I'm guessing he's the Headmaster... Just what the hell is he to keep all of this power hidden away?!
???: Allow me to introduce myself... I am Tenmei Mikogami, the Headmaster of Youkai Academy.
(Y/N): Didn't take much for me to realize it.
Headmaster: Quite sharp, are you? Even your father was the first to notice when we've first met.
(Y/N): I'm not really sure what you're getting at...
Headmaster: No need to worry. For now, I only need for you to refer to me as the Headmaster.
You only shrugged in response before the Headmaster continued to speak.
Headmaster: Now, reason why I've called you here today is for a hunting job...
(Y/N): Hunting job? For animals?
The man simply let a soft chuckle loose before he brought fourth a book and flipped through the pages for a specific page.
Headmaster: A very rare demon has appeared within these woods and I need for you to capture it... Alive.
(Y/N): But why me?
Headmaster: It should suffice as a small step towards your future as a devil hunter. Your father was a devil hunter as well only to retire so that he may settle down with a family. Besides, you're the only currently available for the job since you're relative is unavailable. Accept this job and I'll give you half of the reward now and the rest once you're finished.
Your eyes widened when he mentioned a reward, so you began to think about the offer. After a few minutes of thinking to yourself, you decided to nod your head as a response.
(Y/N): I'll do it.
Meanwhile

Lucius: ...
At the moment, the white haired teen sat on her hospital bed during her recovery. Her body may have healed most of the wounds from being tortured but a few severe injuries left her bed ridden. In her current state, she was unable to properly move her hands from the amount of damage that Kuyou has done to her.
Snow: ... Luci...?
Much to the girl's surprise, the soothing sound of her friend's voice caused for her to turn towards the door.
Snow: ... I-I'm sorry... I wanted to visit you but... I-I couldn't find the courage to-
Lucius: Stop. I know you feel guilty about what happened. You shouldn't feel the need to apologize.
Snow: B-but-
Lucius: Snow, you only wanted to stop them from doing anymore harm. In fact... It was wrong of me to make you stay quiet when they forced you to watch...
After a few minutes of silence, Snow took a seat beside her friend.
Snow: It feels as if we're going nowhere when the both of us are blaming ourselves...
Lucius could only sigh in agreement as she kept her eyes locked onto her hands.
Lucius: ... May I ask you something?
Snow: What is it?
Lucius: Back then... Kuyou mentioned something about you "assaulting" someone... What exactly happened...?
The girl with longer white hair was shocked by the sudden as her friend kept her eyes on her hands.
Lucius: If the topic is that sensitive for you then I understand if you wouldn't want to share anything...
Snow: No... It would have been revealed sooner or later but... Sometime after the first week of school, I met someone that was involved with the Public Safety Commission... He seemed quite gentle and I believed in his sense of Justice for a while... We eventually began dating but then I witnessed the truth...
As she spoke, the red eyes girl slwoly looked towards the saddened teen.
Snow: He revealed his brutality directly in front of me when a student was caught pulling a harmless prank... I was forced to keep quiet before he had complete control over my life... I was too scared to even speak to anyone that I would avoid any contact...
Lucius: Thats when you were slowly covered in injuries...
She only received a nod from her friend as Snow approached the bed.
Snow: One day... The fear quickly turned into hatred as he had me pinned against the wall for a more "physical approach"... Everything was blank until I eventually opened my eyes to find him bleeding on the floor. Thankfully he was still alive but... I was never proud of what had occured. I enjoy being with you and the others in the Newspaper Club because it helps me forget about those awful times!
Lucius was surprised when she felt a warm embrace from Snow as the girl wrapped her arms around her head.
Snow: Why don't we forget about blaming ourselves for what happened and continue moving forward? What do you say?
The both of them continued to enjoy the peaceful silence as Snow climbed into the bed with Lucius, causing for the white and black haired girl to lightly blush.
Lucius: W-wait-
It was too late as Snow easily lost her balance and fell off of the bed.
Snow: Ow...
Unbeknownst to them, you were in the background of the nearest window, struggling to ride a horse with blue flames around it's body. Even your screams were muffled from the glass since the creature attempted to throw you off of its back.
Lucius: Do you hear something?
Snow: Perhaps it's Tsukune screaming from Moka's surprise bites....
The white haired girl rubbed her head as she slowly recovered from the ground. Funny enough, an incredibly large monster flew past the window from Tsukune's temporary display strength.
Lucius: I wonder how long this moment of peace is going to last before the next threat arrives.
Snow: You shouldn't worry about that right now! Especially when midterms are approaching!
As if on cue, your body crashed into the wall outside the hospital while Lucius froze in realization.
Lucius: I-I can't believe that it slipped past my mind...
