The room...

I haven't talked to maman since she said I was adopted. I don't know why, like I didn't mean to hold a grudge against her but she can't just hit me with it like that so casually then just skip along. Like sorry mom but no, I kinda think she deserves this...
Knock, Knock, Knock...
"Come in!"
"Hey Marinette,"
"Oh maman! What are you doing here?" I acted as if I didn't know what she was doing here.
"Marinette don't act dumb please," EXCUSE MOI?! WHAT THE HELL! IS SHE GONNA TELL ME THAT I'M ADOPTED AND DISS ME AT THE SAME TIME?!?!
"Marinette, regarding what I told you a couple of days ago, I just wanted to say that even though you may not be our rightful daughter, that doesn't mean we won't love you."
"Kay maman, thanks for the pep talk," I shrugged emotionless.
"Come with me Marinette,"
"I get it mom, I don't nee-"
"NOW!"
Woah mama has never burst out like this.
"Okay," I said quietly.
She took me to.... a basement I didn't know we had?
Okay anymore surprises I should know about? Wait! Okay spoke to soon....
A small door that lead to my bedroom?
And from my bedroom we went to the roof. Okay everything seems normal now but why the fancy route?
Hang on, a door behind my plant pots? I squint due to the darkness of the room compared to outside. It was....
Beautiful...

There were pictures of a beautiful woman with dark blue hair just like mine and a man looking handsome. He looked just like Adrien but more sober. Adrien lays on the wild but cute side. There were a few things in boxes but at least now I have something to do in my free time.
"Mama, who are these people?"
"Your parents, Bridgette and Felix."
*sorry I just had to do it, I couldn't find anyone else...*
"Why are you telling me this? Like you could have just kept it a secret, like not tell me and keep me as your own, like it could just be-" I rambled.
"Mari, honey you deserve to know this and I would rather have an adopted daughter who trusts me more than a real daughter who knows nothing about her origins and having a foster mother who lied to her." She said as a few tears rolled sown her cheeks. I wiped them with my thumb just like she did to me when I was upset and said the same words that she always said to soothe me when I was 5,

Flashback...

"Don't cry honey," Mama wiped my tears with her thumb, "Stars shine to prove that the dark doesn't scare them."

Present day...

"Don't cry mama, stars shine to prove that the dark doesn't scare them." She sniffled and chuckled.
"Aww! You still remember that? It's been 9 years, how did you not forget?"
"Mama, I never forget the people I love," I finished and by now both of our cheeks were tear stained.
"I love you Marinette, please don't hate me for not telling you before or if I told you too early, Ugh! TOM WARNED ME ABOUT THIS BUT MY STUBBORN MIND GETS ME INTO DISASTERS!"
"Calm down, Mama."
"Wait, you're not gonna call me Sabine now?"
"No mama, you raised me and protected me. A mother only deserves the status of a mother if she does her job." She looked up in amazement. I just looked her dead in the eye and continued.
"So even if I never sat there for 9 months in your womb, you still raised me well considering."
"Mari, me and your father have some important details to tell you."
"What's wrong mama?"
"You'll see..."

Yo guys! I'm alive, surprisingly. I'm sorry I've been gone for a while but you know, sun's out, shades out. Family being really clingy. Anyway I wrote this story in support of those poor kids or adults who are or were adopted. Many people each year are given up by their parents. Since this is cold and heartless, I thought that using a lot of people's favourite characters to spread a message can raise awareness about the torture people go through. Thank you
