"Help!!! Help me, please!!!!" I sobbed and sobbed as waves crashed against my back. Below the water my tail had been shot by an arrow and there was a tracker on it. "Please, anyone!!! Someone help me!!" I didn't care if I was found out by a man who wanted to kill me.

I just didn't want to be tortured or eaten by a shark.

"Hello?! Is someone there?!" I heard a man's voice and immediately started screaming.

"Please!!! Help me!!" In my resting place among the rocks it was hard to find me. It was slightly windy and probably the middle of the night so I was relieved to hear someone.

"My name is Jin! Call out my name so I can find you!!!" He yelled and I began calling his name until I saw brown hair pop up from behind the rocks.

"I'm here!! Jin!! Please!!!!!!" I reached up to him and he crawled down the rocks.

"What happened? Why can't you get out?!" He stood on a flat piece of the rock and grabbed my arms. "On three I want you to kick out of the water as much as you can. Ready? One, two, three!!!"

I tried to push myself out but my punctured tail made it hard. When I made in onto the rock Jin was staring at me with wide eyes.

"What happened?" Jin gently touched the arrow and I winced slightly.

"I was just swimming when it hit me. There's a tracker and I can't get it out!!"

"Ok ok shhh calm down fishy. Is there anything I need to know before I take you take to my place?" Jin pet my tail around my wound and I took a deep breath.

"It'll dry up fast. If you take it out when I have legs maybe it won't hurt as much." I shrugged and Jin smiled.

"I'll carry you to my place. I just moved into a house two minutes away from here." Jin picked me up bridal style and was very careful about my tail.

Halfway to his house my tail dried up and Jin was able to hold me tighter.

"Luckily it didn't break anything and it only went through muscle." Jin was examining my leg as he speed walked into his house. "Why is there a light on it?" He asked as he laid me down on the island in the middle of his kitchen.

"There's a tracker. Scientists look for merpeople like me." I explained and Jin cursed.

"I'm going to disable it." He whispered before getting a knife and cutting the arrow head off. He dissected the arrow head and broke the tracker with the knife.

"Get it out please." I held onto my leg tightly and he nodded.

"Talk about anything you want to distract yourself." Jin gently lifted my leg and tried to take out the arrow as gentle as possible.

"Um... my name is Hoseok. My dad makes saddles for dolphins and my mom makes shells for mermaids. My sister is really famous though."

Jin got the arrow halfway out.

"I haven't been home in three days. My sister's company is looking for me and now I know why my parents want to keep me inside the reef." I grunted as the arrow was completely pulled and and he put handfuls of cotton on both sides of my leg where I got hit.

"I like that name. Hoseok is like my real name. I'm Seokjin but I like being called Jin." Jin put a wrap around my thigh and helped me get off the counter, but I fell.

"I've never walked before." I looked up at Jin with a blush spread across my face and he smiled.

"I'll help you." He picked me up and held onto my waist as I tried hopping on one foot. Jin was walking backwards and I was putting a ton of my weight on his shoulder so when he backed up against his couch and fell back on it I wasn't surprised when I fell on top of him.
