I laid on my bed and sat up, running my fingers through my light brown hair. I was exhausted. I wasn't used to the silence and so I looked out the large window, staring out into the forest. It was barely dawn. The slight noticeable rise of the sun could be seen in the distance. I groaned loudly and fell back into my new bed, closing my eyes as the soft pillows caressed my head. I pulled the comforter over my head and closed my eyes, praying for sleep.
My prayers are never answered. I looked at the clock and sighed, you've got to be kidding me, 6:30. I sat up and closed my eyes before slipping out of the bed and moving to the bathroom. I undressed and turned on the shower before getting in, closing the glass door. I closed my eyes and rested my forehead against the marble wall, running my fingers through my hair. I grabbed the shampoo from the shelf and squirted some into my hand, massaging it in my hair. I groaned and closed my eyes, leaning my head back as I massaged my scalp. This is heaven. I rinsed the shampoo out before adding conditioner, humming softly as the water poured down my body. I washed away the conditioner before grabbing my body wash and a wash rag, rubbing it against my skin in circular motions.
Just as I was about to finish, I heard loud trucks pulling into the front yard. Fuck! Why now? I thought and opened the shower door, grumbling under my breath and wrapped a towel around my waist. I moved down the stairs, almost skipping, a curse leaving me lips. Stupid fucking neighbors. I thought angrily and moved to the door, yanking it open in frustration while keeping a hand on my towel, just as the person was about to knock.
"What?" I snapped, my eyes narrowing at the group. Yes, I said group. I groaned internally. I saw Daniel, Marcus and the other two from yesterday and... someone different. I turned my glare to the man in front of the group. The one who was about to knock. This man was about 6'5", blonde short wavy hair, tanned skin and bright blue eyes. He had a strong muscular build and a chiseled face. He was gorgeous. I frowned and raised my head, meeting his eyes with a glare. "What do you want?" The man's eyebrows flew up before a small smirk covered his lips before he cocked his head.
"You're a little rude thing, aren't ya." He all but growled.
"Excuse me?" I snapped and looked at him. He tilted his head back with a laugh and watched me, his eyes sliding down my chest, making me remember that I was naked. Oh fuck no. "Excuse me while I go make myself appropriate." I said before slamming the door. I heard a light 'hmph!' confirming my suspicion that I had hit him in the nose. I silently praised myself as I moved up the stairs and to my bedroom, pulling on a pair of sweatpants and a sweatshirt before making my way back down stairs, opening the door. "Come in." I ignored them as I held the door for them, closing it behind the group.
"Do you guys want some coffee or something.." I asked shifting to one foot to the other and leaned tilted my head. I watched as the taller blonde look around the living room and nodded.
"Yes." He answered. I looked at Daniel and the others before raising my eyebrow.
"No thank you." Marcus whispered. I was slightly confused. Just yesterday he had been a rude little- I watched as Daniel gently moved his arm around his lover's waist, kissing his forehead softly.
"No thanks." Daniel smiled softly. I turned to the other two who both shook their heads. I rolled my eyes a bit before nodding. One coffee coming up. Hell. Why don't I make some for me too but pour half a bottle of rum in it. I thought bitterly.
"You can all sit down." I told them as I left the living room and to the kitchen. I moved to the Keurig coffee maker and put a capsule thing in it before turning it on. I pulled down on coffee mug before watching the coffee drizzle down into the mug. Host mode: activating. I mockingly thought. I picked up the mug, and walked out of the kitchen. I moved to the couch where the attractive man- they're all attractive don't get me wrong- but this man. He bled power. He bled authority. He reminded me of Benjamin. He gave off those same things too. And that means... He's cocky. Arrogant. And a prick. I placed the mug in my hand and let go before he even had a good hold on it. He growled softly and I sat down in the other chair. Oh yeahhh. Fuck. Host Mode. Riiighttt. I thought before rolling my eyes. I cleared my throat and put on the best welcoming smile I could.
