I knew that I enjoyed when Thanos kissed me- actually whenever he touched me. It was pleasurable but I couldn't do it again. I couldn't. I couldn't let someone hurt me again. My breakdown last night had been proof that I, of course, trusted Thanos since I never have told anyone what happened between Benjamin and I but I didn't want to hurt him. I didn't want to get hurt. Again. It hurt already. I rolled off the couch just as my home phone in the kitchen was ringing. I groaned loudly before making my way to it, almost slipping on the floor before answering the phone.
"Hello?"
"Noah?" Athanasios' deep voice asked. I leaned against the kitchen counter and twirled the cord around my finger before stopping, grimacing a bit.
"Yeah?" I asked. I heard him breathing on the other side before he cleared his throat, almost as if he was embarrassed.
"Well, Marcus wants to go down to the lake with everyone for a cookout so I was wondering if you would like to come," Athanasios said. I looked at the clock before glancing down at the counter.
"Oh?" I hummed. "Now?"
"Yeah, I thought it would be a nice time for you to meet everyone." He explained. I moved to the coffee pot, cocking my hip against the stove as I poured myself a small glass.
"Um... Sure. I don't really know where the lake road is though." I told him as I sipped my coffee.
"I'll come and pick you up." He said. I hummed softly before placing my cup down and nodding. "There's already benches and chairs down there so you don't have to bring any of that."
"Alright. Just come over, I'll go get ready. The doors unlocked so you can walk in." I told him before hanging up. Plus, this will give me the perfect time to explain to him why I haven't been showing up. I grimace at my cowardness before walking up the stairs to my bedroom, moving to my closet to pull out a pair of black shorts and a red t-shirt before undressing, and pull on the clothes. I grabbed a pair of sandals and slipped them on before heading back down stairs. I unplugged my phone, slipping it into my pocket. I looked around for my keys before going back upstairs to find them. A creak in from down stairs indicated that Athanasios had arrived.
"Hey! I'm upstairs, I just have to find my freaking keys." I yelled, moving to the nightstand and rummaging through it. I got down to my knees as I looked under the bed, frowning when I didn't see them. "Where did I put those keys." I mumbled as I shook my head and got up. "Maybe the bathroom." I went to the bathroom, looking at over the counter before walking out of it, pulling to a sharp stop. My mouth went dry and I tensed, staring at the beautiful stranger who stood in my bedroom.
He turned his head towards me and grinned, two sharp teeth poking from his mouth. The man let out a whistle and stepped forward. He had shaggy tangled red hair that hung in front of his face and pale skin. He was taller than me but not by much, around 5'9" with a slim form. He had a black button down silk shirt, torn in the shoulder and a few buttons ripped off and a pair of leather pants, ending off his outfit with a pair of... shocker... black combat boots. The redhead grinned wider.
"Nice place ya got here." He said. His accent sounded familiar but I couldn't quite place it. "I'm sorry, hun for intruding but ya see... I'm in a bit-o-trouble and I could really use the help, if you wouldn' mind." He said as he approached me. I tensed before stepping back. "Oh ight'. The stranger danja rule. Look sweetums, I ain't got no time for playin' Mister Nice guy so let's get this over with." He said, rolling his bright green eyes. "Name's Sasha." He hummed. I stared at this man in front of me Sasha. "I'm from the good city of New Orleans and I'm runnin' from some ol' baddies."
"Uh.." I started.
"O' shit nutz. Honeycakes, if you said you were goin' to have company-" He started before cussing. I frowned before looking out my bedroom window to see Athanasios' truck pulling into the driveway. I looked at this Sasha guy to see him tensed.
