The first thing Teddy noticed as she walked into the classroom was the way the sun shone through the windows. This bathed the room in a warm yellow glow. Shielding her eyes from the sun, she chose to sit away from Eve. She took a seat at the very back of the room, in the corner closest to the windows. She didn't like the feeling of the sun in her eyes. But she'd much prefer that to either sitting in Eve's corner. Or sitting up at the front, where the teacher might call on her.
Despite being Leah's sister, Eve always creeped her out. You might call her a hypocrite, pointing out that she was even more silent as Eve, but that wasn't what scared her about Eve. She just gave Teddy an uneasy feeling, as she would often stare intensely at Rain. Teddy was even sure she saw Eve licking her lips at the sight of Rain once. That was the reason why she kept Rain inside. Leah called her paranoid, but Penelope seemed to agree that something about Eve felt off.
Teddy stopped looking worriedly at Eve and instead turned her attention to the desk next to her. She nearly jumped when she realised there was a person there, when there had not been a few seconds before.
That's strange, Teddy thought. I may have been thinking about Eve, but usually my senses are very alert. How come I didn't hear her get in the seat beside me?
The strange girl next to her seemed to notice Teddy's change in posture and turned around to face her. Her dark eyes were devoid of emotion and she seemed almost... otherworldly. Not like something to be feared, the way Eve was, nor like a Goddess to be revered, but just... foreign, as if she wasn't from this world.

Teddy looked at her, her hand reaching into her bag to try and find her phone, so she could communicate to her, when suddenly the stranger opened her mouth.
"¿Necesitas algo?"
Teddy blinked. Finally finding her phone, she opened her AAC App and typed.
"No hablo español," the app read out in its simulated female voice. At least Teddy knew enough Spanish to say that she didn't speak Spanish.
The stranger's mouth twitched down into some sort of a frown for a split second, before going back to her neutral expression. There was a pause, before she opened her mouth again, as if she had figured out the English word for what she wanted to say-
"Hi guys! Sorry I'm late!" a falsetto like voice yelled out. Teddy turned to see a short, blonde man with an anxious expression on their face. They had just walked into the room, and started skipping towards the teacher's desk. Teddy furrowed her brows. Wait, this couldn't be...
"Hi, I'm Professor X and I'll be teaching both Literature and Art to you. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you! I can just tell that we're all going to get along!" Professor X said, smiling brightly. Suddenly, the sun's glare didn't seem as bright as the positive energy this man was radiating.
