Chapter 4

 Upon landing you were able to look up in time to see someone with blond hair and a hoodie get pinned to a tree by someone's lance. Chuckling to yourself you decided to let whoever threw their lance at him to be his partner. After all whoever's lance that is just basically marked him as theirs.

After a few minutes of walking to the direction, you believed the relics to be located you heard some rustling in bushes a few feet to your left. Facing the bushes you got in a fighting stance ready for the possibility of a grim. When the cause of the rustling came out you were surprised to see one of the armored dudes that you saw right before the test began. This was the one in maroon armor.

"Well hello, there person. Am I the first person you've come across since the test started?" Asked the armored dude.

"Yes, you are. I'm assuming the same can be said for you."

"Well my names Simmons, I'm looking forward to being your partner for the next four years."

"I'm (y/n), Likewise. So tell what are your capabilities."

"I'm quite excellent when it comes to computers as well as a decent shot with my gun here."

"Wait is that just a gun?"

"Yes, it is. Why were you expecting it to be able to do something other than shoot bullets?"

"Well, yeah. Most people when they make their weapons give them both long range and close range modes."

"Wait you guys make your weapons?"

"..."

"..."

"Please tell you have access to your aura and your semblance at least."

"I have no idea what either of those two things are."

Doing your best not to groan at the lack of knowledge he has about the basics you decided to educate him on what they are now rather than later.

"Look aura is something an energy everyone one who unlocks it uses to mainly heal themselves faster than normal or as a shield during battle. A semblance is an ability someone who has access to their aura has that is based on who they are as a person."

"So no two semblances will be exactly alike?"

"Precisely. There will be some semblances that are similar, but they will have different ways in which they work. Now come here so I can unlock your aura for you."

"Wait you can do that?"

"Yes, I can unlock your aura by shoving some of my own into you. It's either we do it this way or you could always train until your body collapses every day."

"I much prefer the first method." When Simmons said that you two got close enough so that you could place your hand on him and shove your aura into his system. while doing this you found it very difficult to complete this process.

'This guy must have a lot of aura if it's this hard for me to unlock it for him.' You thought to yourself with a look of utter concentration on your face. It took you about ten seconds to finish your task. Once you stepped away from him you got ready to start walking towards your original destination. Before you could, however, two beowolves appeared in front of you blocking your path.

"Well, I guess it's as good a time as any to see how good in a fight we are together. Provide cover fire and I'll get up and close to draw their attention away from you." Without waiting for for a confirmation on the plan you charged headfirst toward the two grim. Deciding to try and end this as quickly as possible you put in two fire dust into your gauntlets while running at the grim.
