You and your team had just arrived at your dorm after all the classes for the day had finished up, and dinner was served. The only one to not come back to the dorms was Simmons. When your last class for the day let out Simmons had said that he was going to the library to study. You had decided to ask your remaining team what their semblances were. When you finally asked Griff and Caboose what their semblance was you were surprised that they were just as clueless as Simmons was.
"Wait so neither of you even know what either aura or a semblance is?" You asked Caboose and Griff.
"I thought I made that obvious when I asked you what the heck a semblance and aura was." Spoke Griff. You quickly went into a brief explanation about what a semblance and aura was to both of your teammates.
"Just to make sure I got it all correct. Aura is a type of energy that you use as a shield and as a means to heal yourself." You nodded your head at his simple explanation about what aura was. "And a semblance is an ability that's is unique to every person." Again you nodded at the simple explanation.
"I might as well unlock your aura for the both of you." You said quickly preparing to begin the task while approaching Griff.
"And how are you going to exactly do that?" Asked Griff Taking a step back before you could reach him.
"I'm just going to push a bit of my aura into you. The more aura you have locked away the more I'll need to push into you to unlock it for you."
"Is there any alternative methods to unlocking my aura."
"Well, you could always do what I did to unlock my aura."
"Oh oh let me guess." Interrupted Caboose before you could actually tell Griff the method that you used to unlock your aura. "Did you have to kiss a frog." Chuckling slightly you shook your head. Your shaking of the head seemed to slip by Griff's notice as he looked at Caboose and then you in disgust.
"Ew gross if it's anything like what Caboose described however unlikely that is I will opt out of it." Said Griff clearly not liking the idea Caboose put forth.
"No, it's nothing like that. All I did during my training was do a bunch of push-ups, sit-ups, and going up and down a mountain every day for a few months."
"Are you insane?" Asked Griff with a look of utter horror planted on his face. "Who in their right mind would put themselves through that kind of hell?" at this you raised your left hand while having a small grin on your face. Putting your hand back down you again preparing to unlock Griff's aura.
"Well if you don't want to do it that way you still have option one left to you." You said while holding out your right hand. When you took Griff's hand you attempted to unlock his aura, but to your surprise, his aura was already unlocked.
"Well, that's surprising." You said taking a step back from Griff.
"What's surprising?" Asked a voice from behind you. Turning around you saw that the voice belonged to Simmons. He leaned in close to your ear "Did Caboose find what I left for Griff under his pillow or something?" He whispered.
Looking over at the bed that was Griffs you quickly spotted a small lump that was out of place under the pillow.
"What are you guys whispering about? Is it secrets?" Said Caboose with an eager look on his face, "I know some secrets myself. There was this one time that Griff snuck into Simmons room an-" Before he could finish what he was saying Griff had clamped both of his hand on his mouth.
"I think you should tell us what was so interesting (y/n)." Said Griff sweating bullets.
"Well, when I tried to unlock your aura for you I no-"
"I remember when you unlocked my aura the other day." Said Simmons interrupting you. You tried continuing with your explanation, but apparently, Simmons wasn't done talking yet. "I suddenly had this feeling of comfort wash over me once you finished unlocking my aura for me."
"Speaking of finishing things I would love to finish my explanation before any of you decide you want to put your two liens in, please." You said while starting to get annoyed.
"Sorry, sir I'll let you finish."
"Thank you. Now as I was saying When I tried to unlock your aura Griff I noticed that it was already unlocked."
"Well, that would explain how you could survive being shot by Sarge's shotgun point blank over and over again with only minor injuries." Said Simmons.
"Well, at least I don't have to run up a mountain every day." Said a relieved Griff.
"Although according to a book I found in the library, Those whose aura awakens early in life often don't learn of it until someone else points it out for them. They also usually have small reserves of aura." Said Simmons while in his lecturing mode.
"Ah come on. That just sucks."
"Well, I guess I should try unlocking Caboose's aura. Unless he already has his unlocked." You said again getting ready to unlock someone's aura. Walking up to Caboose and holding out your hand you waited for a minute for him to grasp yours. When you thought that he had just spaced out and was about to say his name to try and gain his attention. He had suddenly grabbed your hand.
Deciding not to question the oddity of what just happened with Caboose you pushed your aura into him expecting him to take no more time than it did with Simmons. Once again you were surprised. It seemed that Caboose had an abnormal amount of aura.
Deciding to get this done as fast as you possibly could you started to push more and more of your aura into Caboose. It had taken you a full minute to unlock Caboose's aura. Once you were done you were forced to sit down on the chair that was at the desk because you were almost empty on aura. Taking a moment to catch your breath you looked up to see concerned looks on both Simmons and Griff.
"You okay dude. You look like you're going to pass out any second now." Asked Griff
"Yeah I'm fine I just need to rest a bit. Unlocking Caboose's aura really took a lot out of me." You replied.
"Well, it's getting late so we should head to bed anyway" Said Simmons while throwing one arm over your shoulder and helping carry you over to your bunk bed.
"That's probably a good idea Simmons." You said while climbing into your bed.
"Thank you, sir."
As you heard the others get ready to hop in their beds you couldn't help but try and listen out hoping to hear what you believed to be a whoopie cushion that was hidden under Griff's pillow. Sure enough, as soon as Griff flopped onto his mattress a loud farting noise could be heard coming from Griff.
"Oh, really Griff. That's just nasty." Said Caboose.
"That wasn't me I swear!" Defended Griff.
"Oh really? Who else has the top bunk that just so happens to be above mine?" Hearing a bit of snickering coming from the bottom bunk on the other side. Griff looked to see the splitting grin that was on Simmons' face.
Deciding to tune out your team as you were sure they were about to start bickering again, you quickly embraced the darkness of sleep.
