Chapter 3

The morning was uneventful as you were getting your gear ready for the test. The people you met the day prior were busy getting their gear ready as well. While heading out of the locker room you took a second to look into the mirror to see what you looked like (just because you weren't much into being social doesn't mean that you didn't care about how you looked). You were wearing a jet black pair of jeans, a blue t-shirt that had the sleeves cut off, and a pair of combat boots. You also had your gauntlets on as well.

Once you got to the clearing where your test was to begin you noticed that most of the students had yet to arrive. Looking at your scroll you noticed that there was still ten minutes left until the test was to begin. Putting your scroll back into your pocket and bringing your attention back to those that your present you saw a few students that caught your interest. Two of these people seemed to be wearing full body armor with their helmets held at their sides. The kind you saw in comic books or video games. One of them had full maroon armor while the other had yellow. Both had what looked like standard rifles strapped to their shoulders. 

Armored guys POV

"Dude why are we here?" Spoke the maroon armored guy.

"Is this a question of our existence or why we are in our current location? I can answer it if it's the second one, but you'll need to go somewhere else for the first." Replied the guy in yellow.

"It's the second one, Griff." 

"Okay, well if I remember correctly Caboose tried to create some kind of machine that would let us travel back in time, but when he tried activating it, it instead brought us here to wherever here is on top of de-aging us. Thank God that we still fit our suits though. I do not want to go shopping for clothing." Said the now named Griff.

"Griff, did you forget that we were genetically modified by the time we were fifteen? We are currently in our seveenteen-year-old bodies so of course we still fit our suits."

"All I know Simmons is that I'm glad to be so young again. Now I can have longer to do go about my days lazing about."

"After we finish this school that is. Remember this is a school for people to become hunters or something. So I'm pretty sure that we'll be active every day. Why did you decide to attend this school with me and Caboose anyway? It's not like you."

"I don't know. Didn't feel like trying to get to know new people. It'd take to much effort on my part. I'll just do my best to not be active in class."

"Of course you'd think getting to know new people instead of sticking with me would be too much effort. Do you know where Caboose is? I haven't seen him since we went to bed last night."

"He's probably lost looking for us. That or he's found another machine with an A.I that he'll talk to."

With Caboose

"Hmmm. I'm not sure this map is correct. I've been following it for hours and I still have yet to get to my destination." Spoke a guy with full blue body armor on.

"I think it might help if you flip it right side up instead of looking at it upside down." Said a boy that had a chest plate over his hoodie and a sword strapped to his left side.

"Oh why thank you. I was afraid I wasn't going to make it to the test area on time."

"You're welcome. The names Jaune Arc short sweet rolls of the tongue ladies love it."

"Oh, I know someone like you. His name is Tucker. Loves talking about getting with ladies and saying 'Bow Chicka wow wow' whenever someone says something about like an innuendo."

"Uh, what's an innuendo?" Asked Jaune Arc

"I have no Idea. Someone will say something and then Tucker will say 'Bow Chicka wow wow' at seemingly random times. Whenever I ask about it I'm always told that it's in response to an innuendo. It's so confusing." 

"By the way, I don't think I got your name."

"Oh, where are my manners, My name's Caboose."

"Well, Caboose I think we have arrived at the testing area if the Headmaster and his assistant is anything to go by."

"Isn't she like the vice Headmistress or something, not the assistant to the Headmaster?"

"I think that's the same thing Caboose. Although I could be wrong."

"Oh I see my friends Goodbye Jaune I'll see you later." Said Caboose as he ran off to meet his friends.

"Oh okay, then I guess I'll just go over here to this square on the ground and just wait for the test to start."

(y/n)'s point of view

It was finally time for the test to officially start. The  Headmaster had asked everyone to stand on their own square tile as it had was going to be everyones starting point for the test as they were launch pads. It seemed like everyone who was at the assembly yesterday was present including Ruby and her sister Yang. Ruby was currently on your left with Yang following on her left. The ones on your right were the dudes in the colored armor although it seemed one more joined their rank at the last minute.

"For years you have trained to become warriors, and today your abilities will be evaluated in the emerald forest." Spoke the Ozpin 

"Now I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams. Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. each of you will be getting teammates today." Spoke Gylinda in a tone that almost like she had practiced this in a mirror or something.

"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well. That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after you land will be your partner for the next four years. After you've partnered up make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path or you will die. You will be monitored for the duration of the test, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. You will guard that item as well as your standing and we will grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?" Monologued Ozpin.

"Uh yeah." Said Jaune. But before he could continue on Ozpin interrupted him and gave the go-ahead to Gylinda to start launching the students from their launch pads.
