Author's Note: This chapter takes place before Rise of Lotor, but after Back Home.

"Blue!" Yellow Diamond called out as she walked through the halls of the Zoo with her Pearl by her side. "Blue, where are you?"
"Why, Yellow?" Blue Diamond's depressed voice asked.
"Blue, where are you?" Yellow loudly asked again.
"Why, Yellow? Why?" Blue's voice asked once more.
"Blue, please let me help!" Yellow begged.
"You didn't help me!" Blue's voice cried. "You didn't help me! You didn't help any of us!" At the end of the hall, Yellow saw a door where the voices seemed to originate from; growing louder by the second. "You didn't help me! You didn't help any of us! WHY DIDN'T YOU HELP ANY OF US?" Yellow sprinted towards the door, leaving her pearl behind. "WHY DIDN'T YOU HELP ANY OF US? WHY DIDN'T YOU HELP ANY OF US?"
Yellow Diamond barged through the doors and was frozen and horror by what she found on the other side. It wasn't Pink's room like it should've been, it was Homeworld... in ruins. From where the Diamond stood, she saw Galra Dreadnaughts raining fire down onto towers, military fortifications, and other structures that enveloped the planet. Galra soldiers and sentries were poofing and gathering up Gems; then bringing them back to the ships. Yellow tried to do something to stop this, but she couldn't move. All she could do was stand and watch as she saw her home, her Authority, being razed. "No... no..." Yellow repeated to no avail.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU HELP ANY OF US? WHY DIDN'T YOU HELP ANY OF US?" Blue's voice repeated as Yellow turned around to see Blue on her knees. Her physical form was breaking apart as she cried out, "YOU COULD'VE SAVED US! WHY DIDN'T YOU HELP ANY OF US? WHY DIDN'T YOU SAVE ANY OF US? WHY DIDN'T YOU SAVE ME, YELLOW? WHY DIDN'T YOU SAVE ME?" Blue Diamond's body fizzled away until there was nothing, but her gemstone left.
"BLUE!" Yellow cried out. The gemstone of her sister was then placed into an antechamber, and doors closed. Then, the chamber started to rise and reveal itself to be the Galra's mechanical monster piloted by their Emperor. The robotic beast pulled out its weapon and struck the ground; sending a pulse of violet energy that engulfed everything in sight. "NO!" The blast eventually consumed Yellow Diamond, and there was nothing but darkness.
Suddenly, there was a faint, flickering pink glow in the distance. Yellow gasped in shock as she saw the light was emerging from Pink Diamond; a sword pierced through her cracked gemstone. The scared and saddened young Diamond looked up at Yellow, and as her physical form glitched, she sorrowfully asked, "Why didn't you save me, Yellow?"
"NO!" Yellow screamed and looked around. She was in her chambers back on Homeworld; they were completely intact and exactly how she left them.
"Are you all right, my Diamond?" Yellow Pearl asked her master with concern.
Yellow Diamond rubbed the temples of her forehead and let out a sigh. "It's nothing, Pearl." Yellow lied. It had been two months since Voltron slew the Galra Emperor. The last thing she remembered from that battle was that the Galra mech blasted Voltron away, so she attacked it with her Lion Slayer II's electrical blasts. And then engaged her opponent with her dual blades; only for the mechanical monstrosity to grab and rip the Homeworld mech into pieces. The attack was enough to poof her; because when she came to, her physical form was different.
