"Babe! I'm home." Dally said "Shhh, I'm reading, one more page." I flipped the page of To Kill A Mockingbird and finished it, then went to greet my boyfriend Dally.

"Hi lovey." I said, wrapping my arms around him "Hi doll. Whatcha been doing all day?" He asked, picking me up and sitting me on the couch.

"Readin'" I said in a sing-songy tone.

If you couldn't tell, Dally and I are as opposite as we could get. He likes fighting, I like reading. He likes drinking alcohol, I like drinking tea and coffee.

"All day? don't know how you do it doll." He laughed. "Sometimes you just have to find the right ones." I said back.

"Do you think...at some point, could you maybe read me one? Like one of your favorites? I would do it myself but, I don't think I'd be patient enough, or smart enough to know how to say all the words." He said rubbing the back of his neck.

"First off, you are SO smart, and second, I'd love to!" I got off Dally's lap and grabbed all of my favorite books.

"So we have Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre, The Great Gatsby, and The Sound and The Fury."

"Uhh the Jane chick, she sounds hot." He said. I hit him in the head with it and put the rest of the books back.

"Get to readin' mamacita!" Dally shook me a little.

"There was no possibility of taking a walk that day..." I read the book for what seemed like seconds but was actually hours. Every once and a while, I looked up to make sure Dal wasn't asleep and to show him the pictures, but he seemed interested in the book and, like I was when I read it for the fist time when I was 15.

"That's all I'm gonna read cause I'm hungry." I said, shutting the book. "No!" Dally said. "It was getting good!" I shook my head.

"Babe, I'm gonna make dinner, you can keep reading." I kissed his head and started on dinner.

As I was finishing dinner as I looked at Dally, reading the book. My copy is kinda small bit its perfect in my hands, but in Dally's? It's teeny. He holds it by the spine and uses his thumbs to hold the pages down. He was squinting and his eyebrows were pushed together, reading. He's so cute.

"Babe, dinner" I said, putting the food on the table. Dally didn't budge. "Baby?" Nothing. "Dallas!" His nose was still stuck in the book. I took my shirt off and walked over to him, pushing the book down.

"Wha!-Woah." He said standing up and kissing me. "Dinner." I said and put my shirt back on.

After dinner Dally grabbed my hand, plopped me on the couch and handed me the book. He actually got pretty far, there only about two chapters left.

"The end." I said and shut the book. "I liked it" Dally said "I'm glad, now I'm tired." I said getting up and moving to our bedroom. Dally stopped me.

"Whadayasay about me staying home from work tomorrow to hang out with you. We can watch movies and read more and cuddle if you want, it's gonna be all about you." Dal said

"I say, that would be amazing." I wrapped my arms around his neck, but didn't kiss him. We do this a lot. I get to see Dally's hardass exterior melt under my touch. I get to see Dally's eyes turn from a soulless black to a honey brown.

I slowly leaned in and gave him what he wanted, ruffling his hair a bit, outlining his hear and jawline. He pulled away a little.

"I thought you were tired." Dal said, smirking against my lips. "Not anymore." "Jump" he said, turning me towards our room. I did as told and Dally ran into our room and, lets just say, things happened.

The next morning I woke up to Dallas laying on my bare chest. "Babyyy" I sang to him "Wake up." He didn't do anything but cuddle my body. I trailed down his body down to his... and grabbed it, making him jump and fall off the bed.

"Babeeeee" Dally said, I didn't respond, I just laughed. He found his boxers and threw me my underwear to put on.

I got up and threw on one of Dally's shirts and walked into the kitchen to make us breakfast, Dally following behind closely with his hands on my hips.

"Can I help with breakfast?" Dallas asked with the same honey brown eyes I saw last night.

"Yeah." I chuckled a little, Dally never helps around that house with anything. He helps in other ways though, I don't work so he makes the money. He's not arrogant about it though like a lot of guys do. He thanks me whenever he can and every night before we go to bed.

"Can you hand me the eggs?" I asked and he nodded, handed me the eggs and kissed my neck, making me giggle.

It's the end of the night and all day, Dally's been really clingy, I mean he usually is but not this much.

"Baby?" I asked, getting Dal's immediate attention. "Yeah?" He answered sitting up.

"Why are you doing this? You're acting different." I say "I'm spending time with you, babydoll." He answered, kind of nervously.

"Cut the shit Dal, you spend time with me all the time but you've never been like this before. Did you break something?" He sighed

"Look baby, sometimes I feel like you're gonna leave me for somebody-" I cut him off, knowing what he was gonna say.

"Dallas Winston. I love you, with everything in me and you know how upset it makes me when you think I'm that low. I'm not like that." I get up and go to the kitchen for some juice.

"I know but I feel like I'm not good enough for you," He follows behind me. "You need a guy who'll sit and read to you. Who knows the big words, and doesn't have to ask what they mean or how to pronounce them." He sat at the kitchen table in defeat.

"Dal," I walked over to him, grabbing his hands "You are more than enough. No guy has ever or will never treat me as well as you do. I'm not gonna trade you in babe. You literally cannot get rid of me. I love you too much."

Dally looked at me before standing up. "I love you too." I pulled him into a hug and peppered kisses on his shoulder. "Stop." He says, trying to hold in his laugh. he always tells me he doesn't like it, but I know he does.

"Wanna go lay down again?" I asked. He nodded, giving me a quick kiss and then picking me up and bringing me to the living room.
