Sodapop

"Momma! Where are my pearl earrings?" I screamed running around the house trying to find them "In my ears!" She yelled from downstairs. 

Tonight, I'm meeting my boyfriend Sodapop's best friends, Two-Bit, Johnny, and Dallas, and his brothers, Ponyboy and Darry. I've already met Steve because we work together at the DX. That kinda strange thought because a lot of Socs my age don't have jobs. I always found my life unsatisfactory because I was given everything that I wanted, and I loved cars and everything about them so I wanted to fix them. 

I ran downstairs and took my earrings from my mom. "Where are you going?" She asked and I stopped in my tracks "Out" I walked out of the house and into my blue '57 Buick Convertible, that I bought and drove to Soda's house. 

I walked up to the door and knocked. It was quickly opened by Soda in a polo-esque shirt and jeans, who went wide-eyed "Jeez bubba, you look...amazing." I was wearing something I wouldn't normally wear but If you didn't know me you would think I did. I wore black skinny jeans, a black wrap croptop and a DX sweatshirt. 

"Thank you baby." He hugged me tight and sniffed me "You smell nice" I laughed "Thank you weirdo" "Come in ma lady" Soda grabbed my hand and lead me inside 

"GUYS! SHE'S HERE" They guys were just as nicely dressed as Soda. I could tell who everyone was by how Soda described them. 

Darry: Stands tall, fatherly looking. Ponyboy: Peroxide hair, slim, looks like him. Johnny: Lost puppy, in the best way possible. Two-Bit: Stocky, long nose, blue eyes. Dallas: Scary looking, doesn't smile much, dark eyes. 

"Gang, this is Y. Y, this is Darry, Ponyboy, Johnny, Two-Bit, and Dally. And you know Steve." Soda said standing behind me pointing to everyone. "Hi guys, nice to meet you." I said 

"You from New York?" Dally asked "Yeah," I said "I moved her last year from the Bronx" I finished "Nice accent, keep this one." Soda's always liked my accent. It's not super thick but you can tell where I'm from. He says its soothing. 

"Let's sit." Darry said. We sat down and Darry looked very fatherly "Are you two having sex?" The guys 'ewed' and it got awkward between Soda and I. We haven't, ya know gotten that far yet and haven't really talked about it, despite being almost a year into our relationship and, him and Sandy had been doing it way before this. 

"I like her, and I don't want to mess it up so no." Soda nuzzled his head in my hair and kissed my shoulder. "Awe, well aren't you two just adorable." Two-Bit said and we chuckled. "Ponyboy?" I asked "Yeah" Ponyboy said. "Soda told me you like to draw sometimes and I wanted to know if you could draw me something?" He smiled "Sure, anything?" I nodded and he smiled to himself 

"Aye, don't get wise Coltfetus." Soda said and them laughed. I started to smell something burning. "Ummm, Darry?" He sniffed the air and ran into the kitchen. "Dammit! The chicken!" I couldn't help but laugh. He walked back in with his head low. 

"Who wants to go out to eat?" the guys got up and adjusted themselves. We walked outside and the five of them stopped in their tracks "What the hell is a socy car doing in front of my house?" Darry asked 

"Its mine." I opened the car "Should we take both cars so were not piled in yours Darry?" I asked. Steve, Two-Bit and Dally fought to get to the car. Only Dally and Steve actually making it. Soda got in the front with me and Darry drove to a restaurant.

We all got to the restaurant and ordered our food. 

"So Sandy-Y!" Two-Bit said. I bit my lip and looked down. I knew how in love Soda was with Sandy and I am always worrying that he doesn't love me the same. 

"I'm sorry," He said apologetically "Its ok." I say. "Are you a future planner? Like do you think about that stuff a lot?" I smile "I feel like every girl does at least a little, but not really me. I think about school and I plan ahead a little but I don't have baby names picked out and money set aside for a mortgage. It seems kinda, unnecessary to me."  I answer and Soda kissed my cheek. 

"You're not like other Socy girls." Johnny stated in question form "Nope, I have a job and everything. That's how I met Soda and Steve, working at the DX." I smiled, remembering my first day. 

"I saw the way he looked at her and thought that she would be good with Soda and I set it up. Memories." Steve finished and sighed. 

"I remember thinking you we're crazy and that a girl like this," Soda gave my cheek a couple kisses. "Wouldn't go for someone like me." 

"And I proved him wrong." I finished the story. Darry, Ponyboy, and Johnny were smiling, Dally was smirking, and Two-Bit looked like he was gonna cry. 

"Y'all, are really cute." He said, looking down at his plate.

Dinner went well, we laughed and eat a lot of food. We went back to Soda's house so I could drop him and the guys off. Everyone got out of the car except Soda. 

"You did amazing bubba." He kissed me a couple times. "I love you!" He said out of the blue. I giggled and smiled, kissing his lips and straddling him. "I love you too" I said when I pulled away. 

"I always have, and wont ever stop." I giggled and buried my head in his neck. "For the record, I never loved Sandy as much as I love you, promise. I know you're insecure about ,e and her, but don't be." 

I gave him a long and passionate kiss. "I love you Pepsi-Cola." I smiled "I love you too, bubba-baby." 

"You better not be doing anything in there!" Darry screamed "Its getting late, either you go home or stay over." He screamed again. 

"Please?" Soda begged. I nodded and got out of the car. 

That started a bond between Pony, Johnny, Dally, and I, a lot of nights spent over The Curtis' and my mom eventually kicking me out.

 After that I could finally become myself.
