Chapter 8: Friends Halloween

It's Halloween and Rita's family are visiting Puss' house to go trick-or-treating with Rachel and Rodney, but Platy's afraid for her first Halloween, even when trick-or-treating out in the dark night. It's up to Puss to help her face her fears.

October 30th, the friends were putting up the decorations for Halloween. They all were excited that it was coming around, especially RJ. Halloween is his favorite movie, which means he would go out and get candy and stay home to watch horror movies along with the porcupine triplets: Spike, Bucky, and Quillo were also excited for the holiday, that they like to get candy and pull pranks on others. Stella loves it just to watch scary movies. Hammy just wanted the candy.

But the only one who wasn't excited was Platy. It was her first Halloween and she's already scared. Even trick-or-treating out in the dark for the first time. The dark is Platy's biggest fear.

While Crane, Roddy, and Rita were helping their kids: Rachel and Rodney put up the little tissue ghosts, they made, they turned back to their parents. "Mummy, daddy, do you think grandma, grandpa, granny, and all of our aunts and uncles like our tissue ghosts?" Rodney asked.

"I think they'll love them a lot." Rita said, smiling.

"Even Uncle Sid?" Rachel replied.

"Even Uncle Sid." Roddy said.

"So Rita, your whole family's coming over to visit?" Crane asked.

"On Halloween, yes, my youngest siblings will be going trick-or-treating with their niece and nephew here." Rita said.

"And Sid's coming along as well just to join the party." Roddy said.

"At least they'll be here for the party." Puss said, after he got done carving pumpkins with Tigress, Bolt, and Mittens.

"Yes, we're all pretty excited to see them. My uncle and cousins are also coming to the party. So we will all have a blast." Rita said.

"I bet. Can't wait to meet them." Bolt said.

"Me neither." Mittens said.

Tigress looked around the house, seeing it all decorated with Halloween stuff, clapping her hands in success. "Alright, looks like we're all ready for Halloween tomorrow." She said.

"Looks like it to me." Crane said, flying down with the St. James family.

"Excuse me, I hope you don't mind, Puss, but can Hammy and the triplets carve some pumpkins, too?" Stella asked.

"Sure. Bolt will help you all out. Rachel and Rodney have already gotten theirs done." Puss said before Bolt walked up to them.

"Alright, so you, guys, get the last four pumpkins over there." Bolt said, pointing at the four regular pumpkins, that were sitting by the door before handing the carving knives to Stella and Hammy. "Make sure you three have an adult to carve them for you, okay?"

"Okay, Bolt." Bucky said.

"Yeah, you might wanna get that thing away from Hammy." Stella said, getting worried.

Hammy held the knife in interest, waving it gently. "Wow, I've never been allowed to use sharp tools at home." He said.

Bolt got worried, realizing he made a mistake to give Hammy a knife before snatching it out of his hands, handing it to Kitty. "Uh, sorry about that, Hammy. Kitty will help cut it for you."

"Aww." Hammy said in disappointment.

"But I'd be happy to have you write down for what you want your Jack O' Lantern to look like." Bolt said, handing a sharpie pen to Hammy, getting him more excited, again.
