My First Love

There is a day when I used to love you so damn much

I loved you with all my heart and my soul

I thought there must be some hope somewhere within this hopeless love

That maybe you could see my worth if I try harder

But some things are just not meant to be and I learned it the hard way

That day when I told you I love you

You looked at me and said you are sorry

Sorry for hurting me and making me so miserable

Thank you for your empathy, but honestly, that does not make me feel any better

You used to tell me that the guy I love is a lucky one, but why don't u want to be him?

Few years have passed and we are now strangers

I still think of you once in awhile

I still miss you sometimes

I always told my friends that I have moved on

But when someone said your name, my heart still beats a little harder

You might be out of my life

You might be out of my story

But nothing can change the fact that you are my first love
