Third P.O.V

Russia was sitting on the couch and cheerfully whistling. Ukraine and Belarus would be coming home any second now. They had been coming home earlier nowadays, which Russia was happy for.

However, today, they were taking a bit longer. But no matter, Russia could wait a few more minutes. Or several.

USSR was busy with some work that he was doing in his room, so Russia was waiting alone. When he heard the familiar knocking, he dashed up to the door and opened it. "What took you two so long?" He pouted, a bit angry.

Ukraine smirked as he apologised, "Sorry bro. Just got distracted discussing something with a friend."

All Russia's anger was now replaced with curiosity. "Who? What did you discuss?" He asked. "It's an idea which I think you will like." Belarus smiled gently at him.

Ukraine nodded in agreement, "We were thinking of having Germany and Poland come over tomorrow for a sleepover since it's the weekend." He told Russia. "We have to ask dad for permission first, though." Ukraine added.

Russia's eyes sparkled with excitement. He liked Germany and Poland just as much as he liked everyone else. Germany often had interesting facts to share with him and Poland was very kind to him, occasionally secretly giving him a few more snacks when Ukraine said he'd had enough.

They walked to their father's room together. Ukraine knocked on the door, "Dad? We have something to ask of you." He said. USSR peeked through the now ajar door. "What is it?"

Russia was too eager to keep it in any longer. "Can Germany and Poland have a sleepover here tomorrow?" He asked excitedly.

USSR raised an eyebrow, "Why? What occasion is it?" Ukraine shrugged, "We've been to their house once, so we might as well invite them to ours. Besides, Russia hasn't seen them in almost a month."

Belarus and Russia looked up at USSR hopefully. USSR rubbed his chin, "We don't have any guest rooms, so where will they be sleeping?"

They actually haven't thought of that, but Belarus came up with an idea on the spot. "We were thinking that we could all use sleeping bags and sleep together in the living room!" She told him.

USSR sighed but then smiled, "Alright, you can have a sleepover. Just make sure not to make a mess of the house."

Once USSR closed the door, the three siblings let out a soft victory cry and high-fived each other. A successful negotiation!

They told Germany and Polamd about the sleeping bag idea, and they were cool with it.

The five of them made a group chat so they could discuss ideas on what to do during the sleepover. They had another group chat with their other friends as well, but no point notifying them. It also might bother them.

They settled on truth or dare, two lies one truth, some board or card games and a movie night before they went to sleep.

And now one of the hardest parts, waiting for the actual day to come.

Russia acted calm, but he was really on the verge of exploding from all the excitement. He kept looking at the clock throughout the day, hoping twenty four hours would miraculously pass if he did that.

Ukraine distracted himself by watching YouTube videos or playing games. Or, to be more specific, cat videos. Sometimes Russia or Belarus would join him if they had nothing else to do.

Belarus liked to draw, so that's what she did. A lot were just vague, ugly sketches, though. It hadn't really worked with distracting her.
