Ukraine P.O.V
I woke up, sat up and stretched. I looked over to my digital clock which had the time and date. Today was a Saturday. Nice.
I walked out of my room, went downstairs and into the living room. It wasn't surprising that I was the only one awake right now. Russia and Belarus usually wake up one hour later than me at 10am.
Dad was probably awake right now, but he stays in his room doing work. He's a busy guy, you know. Most of the time, he only comes out to eat dinner with us. If we're lucky, we can spend the night together, watching television and all that.
I plopped onto the couch and picked up my phone which I had left on the dining table last night and scrolled through Twitter to kill time.
I scrolled so far down that began seeing tweets from a year ago. Scroll more, and there were tweets from two years ago. Quite a few of them were either news reports or comments about...
I sighed as I leaned back. It was never solved, no matter how hard we all wanted it to be. Whoever did it got away scot-free, and that's what makes my blood boil the most.
But what can I do about it? I've... we've already done everything we can, and yet we get nothing. The best option we have is to move on. Besides, I'm pretty sure Russia is happy even with the way he is now.
I check the time. Russia and Belarus will probably wake up in ten minutes. I should probably start making breakfast.
I think my cooking skills have improved over the last two years. Russia was the oldest sibling so he took up most of the responsibilities around the house but ever since he lost his memories, I had to take over.
I decided to make toast with scrambled eggs and roasted asparagus on top.
跳Belarus woke up and came downstairs just as I finished making the toasts. "Morning." I greeted her as I placed the plates down on the table. "Good morning! And oh boy does that smell good." She commented as she sat down.
Shortly after, Russia woke up and came down as well. "Morning." I greeted him the same way I had greeted Belarus. "Oh, good morning." He greeted back half-energetically. A bit unusual for him, but he did just wake up.
I decided to start a conversation with Belarus as we ate. We talked about the games we played yesterday for PE and whether it was fun or not. It wasn't an important conversation, but it's better than just eating in silence.
I expected Russia to join in on the conversation like he normally did whenever me and Belarus talked. It didn't matter if he could relate to the topic or not, he would still join in. But this time, he just sat there, slowly eating his toast. It was almost as if he was deep in thought.
I found that a bit strange, not going to lie. I turned to Russia. "Hey Rus, do you think badminton is fun?" I asked him. That seemed to catch his attention since his head perked up. "What? Uh... yeah!" He replied, although his tone sounded like a mix of cheerfulness and nervousness. It was probably nothing, I hope.
