The two countries would be sneaking out again tonight. It wasn't somewhere they went that often, but at this point, America was running out of ideas.

Even though America had already explained that a community garden was basically a garden shared by the community, Russia was still curious about many things.

What did he and the others do there? Plant stuff, obviously, but there would definetly be some funny moments in between. Was he good at gardening? Were the others good at gardening? Is gardening easy? What did they grow?

He did ask America, but America was too lazy to answer all those questions and simply replied with 'Let's talk about it tonight'.

Russia kept thinking about these questions throughout the day so he was slightly distracted. He got faint ideas, but couldn't get the full picture. He was trying his best, but still nothing.

As he was walking to the couch so he could sit next to Ukraine and watch TV together, he accidentally stubbed his toe against one of the coffee table's legs since he wasn't exactly paying attention to where he was going. "Ouch!" He exclaimed as he jumped back.

Ukraine immediately stood up. "Are you okay? Does it hurt?" He asked worriedly as he walked over. Russia didn't stub his toe too hard and it only hurt a bit so Russia shook his head. "I'm fine, it doesn't hurt." He assured Ukraine.

Ukraine's worried expression didn't change, though. "You seem a bit distant today, is there something on your mind?" He asked with the same worried tone. Russia instantly shook his head, "No, what is there to think about?"

Ukraine gave him a doubtful look but sighed, "If you say so." He then walked back towards the couch and Russia followed suit. "I should really be more careful." Russia thought to himself. He almost got caught.

Hopefully he won't get caught anytime soon.

After that, Russia was still engrossed in his thinking, but was mindful not to let it show.

Yes, you know this procedure. Change out of pyjamas, grab the flashlight, sneak out very quietly and see if the other person has arrived yet or not.

This time, America wasn't here yet. Russia turned off his flashlight since there were already streetlights.

He regretted that decision since just a few seconds after he turned off his flashlight the streetlights flickered, making it dark for just a moment. But just a moment of darkness was enough to give Russia a headache.

Russia leaned against a wall, eyes wide. His head throbbed with pain. His breathing and entire body was shaking, fear overwhelming him. He never knew why, but he would always become like 'this' whenever it was dark, even if only for a second. Sometimes he would even hallucinate.

It always felt like something bad would happen to him in the dark. Like something could come out of nowhere and attack him, and nobody would know.

The lights only flickered for a moment, so they were back on which was a good thing. Russia took in a few deep breaths. That had helped the last time he had one of 'these', but since none of his friends or siblings were there to help him calm down it might take a bit longer.

America arrived soon after. When he saw the state Russia was in, he ran over straight away. "What happened?" He asked while rubbing Russia's back gently which helped him calm down better. Russia held his hand up while still taking in deep breaths, signalling America to wait.
