??? P.O.V
It's been two weeks since I started planning. Now, it's time to execute it.
Hah, 'execute', that's a pretty convenient word to use.
Especially when I'm about to do exactly that to somebody else.
I climb, or rather, run up the wall and quickly grab onto the window sill and climb on it. It wasn't spacious, but there was just about enough room for me to stand.
Looking inside, there I saw him, sleeping so peacefully.
Sorry to say this but...
You'll have your eternal slumber soon.
Third P.O.V
Shattering. That's the noise that woke Russia up. He sat straight up, looking left and right but seeing nothing.
That's because the sound of the glass shattering had come from behind him.
The person quickly grabbed Russia from behind, one hand covering his mouth. Russia tried to break free from their grasp, but his weak strength made him unable to do so.
They jumped down from the window and Russia wasn't exactly sure how his or the other person's legs didn't break from that fall since they did fall from the second floor, but that shouldn't be and wasn't his top concern right now.
Russia thought since he couldn't break free by himself, maybe he could call someone for help? He tried to scream but the hand covering his mouth made it sound nearly inaudible. He tried again, screaming at the top of his lungs, but it only sounded like a whisper.
Russia kicked, screamed and struggled. He did everything he could that he already knew wouldn't work to try and get away.
Thoughts started running through his head as he was dragged further and further away from his home. He didn't know who this man or woman was, he didn't know what he had done wrong to deserve this, he didn't know where he was being taken and the most scary one was, he didn't know what was going to happen to him.
Russia wasn't sure how much time past in which he just focused all his energy on struggling hopelessly. That was until the person suddenly came to a stop. It was at this time when Russia began to take note of his surroundings, realising he was in a dense forest. Now he wished he had paid attention to where they had come from because know, he didn't know where was the way out if he wanted to attempt to escape.
Without warning, the person, using a good amount of force, threw Russia against a tree. Russia let out a cry of pain as his back hurt from hitting the tree so hard.
Before he could even recover, he heard the person say monotonely, "Don't resist, it's time to complete something that's long overdue. It'll be over soon."
Russia didn't pay attention to if the person's voice sounded like a Male or female, because when he looked up, he saw them raising a bat, getting ready to smash his head to smithereens. But that wasn't what scared him.
What scared him was the fact that he recognised this person.
He recognised them all too well. The black hoodie that covered most of their face, the stained metal bat,
and that same smug, psychopathic smile.
Russia rolled over, barely avoiding the bat which broke the bark of the tree. He quickly got up and ran as far as he could. He eventually hid behind a tree, hoping he had lost them.
He took that time to try and stop his head from aching. He knew them. He knew what they wanted. He knew what they would do. He knew what they did do. And he knew that they would stop at nothing to take his life.
So why couldn't he remember who they were?
Russia grabbed his head and quickly sat down with his knees to his chest as the ache grew. He started panting. Their name, their gender, he was certain he knew those pieces of information. So what were they? Who was this person that wanted to end his life so badly? The more he thought, the more his head felt like it was going to explode. But he couldn't stop thinking, he needed to know what he had forgotten.
Why? Why couldn't he remember?
Before he could beat himself up more, he heard a faint voice. "Russia, where are you?" It was them. Russia hastily covered his mouth to stop himself from screaming. "Russia, I know you're here. There's no use hiding." This time, they were closer. Russia's heart rate increased and be pushed his hands harder against his mouth. He can't reveal himself, that'd be game over. There was only one thought in Russia mind right now which was on loop, 'please don't come over here, please don't come over here, please don't come over here'.
He heard footsteps while the voice just got closer and closer. "Trust me, I wanted to let you live, I genuinely did. But I now realise that even if I got rid of the person you used to be, it still isn't enough." Russia heard the footsteps come to a halt. He didn't dare to check where they were because his gut already knew the answer. They were on the other side of the tree.
Russia, no matter how hard he thought, didn't know what he had done to deserve this. He felt terrified. He wanted to be with his father, his brother, his sister, any of his friends. He was all alone with someone that could become his murderer.
Not long after, they spoke again. "I need to make sure that you never come back again, physically and mentally. Farewell, Russia."
The person swung the bat, missing Russia's head since they hadn't known that he was sitting down. Russia, seeing the bat above him, scrambled to his feet and continued running.
Russia was quite fast, the person was barely able to keep him in their sight. Russia just focused on running in hopes of getting away. However, he came to a stop. A river blocked his way.
Russia wasn't the best swimmer,he could drown if he jumped in. He took a look behind. A few seconds later, they would catch up. He looked from the river to the person again. He would die if he stayed but if he jumped into the river, he might stand a small chance of surviving.
Russia jumped in with a splash. He thrashed around in an attempt to stay afloat. He saw a big tree log amidst all the water he was thrashing around and quickly reached and grabbed hold of it. He panted as he rested his head on the log. He turned around to check if he was still being chased and just before he fell asleep, he saw the person staring at him, watching him slowly drift away as they stood still on the dry ground. He was safe.
For now, at least.
